Among different skies {{Dusk and Seabird}}

Sometimes your best ally is Truth

The young ginger she-cat slowly opened her eyes and looked around, never lifting her head nor moving her body. She could already tell this is not where she had fallen asleep. She remembered being in a small barn with her brother beside her. Where he had been was empty and she was in a small clearing. Trees from those in a large forest surrounded her, but held a warm feeling rather than one of enclosure.
Dawn slowly lifted her head and sat up, not wanting to disturb the quiet or make a movement to quickly. Everything here seemed at peace and she hated to disturb it. Her bushy tail flicked slightly. She had traveled skies like these before but again, she had never seen anything like this.
"This is defiantly not the Ancestors' skies." she murmured looking around and slowly standing up. The ground under neath her felt soft and welcoming. At the ancestors it had been a gully like area, protective and secret. She slowly looked around and something caught her eyes.
Near by a figure was slowly coming into shape. It looked like a cat, but it's fur was full of glistening stars and it looks too majestic to be any cat alive. She froze but didn't tense as the cat started her way. She felt safe so she wasn't scared. And if this other cat had meant to scare her...well it wouldn't have come out in plain sight.

DUSK
Silent yet loud.

Dusk had been sitting quietly just a few tail lengths from his sister. Although he knew these were skies that cats of old wandered, one never knew if they were the wrong skies. It wasn't long after he awoke in the place that he saw his sister stirr. Since he was behind her, she was unaware of his presence. But Dusk was there, and he was watching every move that she made, and that the cat heading towards them made.

The dark colored tom stood up and padded quietly over to his sister, placing his tail protectively over his sister, glaring at the shimmering cat.

SEABIRD
I'm a lost soul at sea.

Sea-colored eyes were all that could be seen at first, slowly but surely a glistening cat followed. Eyes narrowed in contempt Seabird padded forward, her black and white coat shimmering with stars. Life after death wasn't something anyone could place their paw on. It was unknown, it wasn't what you expected. Yet you feel as if this part of you was always there, secretly waiting for you to pass over the golden bridge.

"I'm not here to harm you." The former Thunderclan warrior murmured, to prove her point she politely bowed to the travelers. Sitting down she curled her coal black tail across her paws. "We have a lot to discuss." Without waiting for any responses from the two cats she slowly began what was meant to be.

Casting her gaze to the sky, she let out a distant sigh, "Do you believe in Destiny? Blinking she brought her gaze to the cats before her, "I never wanted to believe everything was planned, I always assumed things just happened and that's that."

Chuckling to herself she whispered, "Proves how wrong I was." A striking determination entered her gaze as the words slipped from her voice, "Destiny it's a funny thing, that it is." Seabird flicked her tail, ushering the two to follow her. The soft drip-drip-drip of water welcomed their appearance as she neared the sparkling pool.

Touching the water she watched an image unfolded before her, it was ghastly, horrifying, something she dreaded. In front of the she-cat laid the bloodied cats of her clan-mates, and when she peered closer she could even recognize some of the empty faces. "Tell me what you see."

Dawn turned slightly as her brother appeared beside her, always there protecting her. Her gaze turned back to the mysterious cat, and a chill went up her back as it slowly became clear. She glanced at her brother as the cat talked and tilted her head slightly taking in every word. When the she-cat told them to follow she glanced at her brother but slowly did till they got to a pool.
The surface of the pool was so clear, it was scary. When an image appeared Dawn was slightly scared. She slowly padded forward looking at the scene in the water. Her eyes flicked slightly as the cat asked the question.
"There's pain and destruction." she murmured looking up at the she-cat, "Something bad is going to happen, or has happened to these cats. But who are they. I recognize none of them."
Something inside her churned and it wasn't excitement. It was fear and worry for these cats. She looked at her brother. Maybe he understood.

DUSK
Silent yet loud.

The tom listened as the sparkeling she-cat spoke. Destiny was sometimes cruel, that was true, but what was she getting to? The tom stayed by his sister's side as they followed Seabird went up to a small pool. Peering in, Dusk just starred at the image in front of him.

Cats; dead and bloody. That is what he saw. Perhaps this cat was some sort of Ancestor? Nudging his sister, with a claw unsheaved he draw a star in the wet dirt that surrounded the small pool. What would Dawn saw? He nodded at her to ask the strange she-cat, though he was sure he was right. This was a cat that lived in the sky.

SEABIRD
I'm a lost soul at sea.

Seabird gave them a brisk nod, "These are the cats that I once was. We hunted together, slept together, lived together. I was once apart of them. But now we tread different grounds." she meowed quietly. "Evil, beyond our forces are gathering. Their intentions aren't bad, but what will happen will kill dozens of innocent cats." she continued.

The star-swathed she-cat closed her eyes,
"You are travelers, correct?" Before they could respond she meowed once more, "Then your destiny, won't be too difficult. But it will save lives, and that's all that matters."

Standing to full-height the long-legged she-cat stared down her companions, her ocean-colored gaze never faltered. "When the Moon reins down across the land in her full beauty, the destruction will begin." The she-cat was slowly beginning to fade, until nothing remained.

The surrounding trees slowly began to shake, the world beneath them shook and shattered. The clinking screech of metal upon metal filled the air, while the stench of oil penetrated the atmosphere.

"An old land lays beyond the mountains, peace can be found here." Seabird whispered, as the ground tore away into nothingness. Darkness was what only remained.

Dusk listened as the cat continued. His hunch was right, but what did she mean? They were travellers, yes, but how would they save the lives of many cats? And was that a prophecy she just gave him? Dusk had so many questions to ask, but before he could do anything the ground began to shake, the frightning sound of metal filled his ears, and the stench of something filled his nose.

Was this what would kill those cats...?

Dawn looked at the cat as she said they were travelers and mad It known that their task wasn't going to be too hard for them. She swallows and flicked her tail glancing at her brother as she said what sounded like a telling of the future.
Suddenly these loud noises started ringing in her ears and everything was being torn apart. She tried to dig her claws into the ground, but that soon disappeared. She let out a cry of despair but nothing came out of her throat.
She looked up as the she-cat whispered one thing.
'The Moon? Destruction? An old land?' she thought in a panic. 'Surely they don't think we can do a lot of help. We don't even know who or where these cats are!'
The ground underneath Dawn gave out and she went tumbling to her doom....

DUSK

Dusk felt the confusement emmit from his sister. Although he might accept the fate they were given better, he was also confused by it and worried about how it would go about. These spirit cats weren't much for explaining step-by-step on how to do things.

But he thoughts about the prophecy vanished from his mind as the ground began to shake. Abviously, they also weren't ones for sending them off quietly. Perhaps this is to prepare us for what we might expect? Dusk thought. It was only seconds later that he and his sister plunged into darkness. If these cats have called for our help, then they will surely guide our paws.

Opening his eyes, Dusk was once more in the abandoned fox den he and his sister had slept in for the night. The loner saw his sister stirring. They needed to think on this. What would their next couple of steps be? How would they help these cats?
