Tonight we Live Our Lives

<sup>Hazelstar padded out from the shady haven of her den, her gentle chocolate-brown pelt glimmering in the shimmers of the full moond. Blinking her honey gaze, she slowly made her way over to the Tall-Rock.

As she neared the last few strides she broke into a easy run, her long legs carrying her to the peek of her clan's pride, the Tall-Rock. Sitting down she rolled her beautiful feathery tail around her paws and summoned her clan,

"Let all Cats old enough to catch their own prey, report to the Tall-Rock for a clan meeting." Her yowl echoed amongst the moors, for once the rain had ceased. Maybe it was done-- But in the corner of her eye she could tell, the worst was yet to come, for storm clouds threatened in the distance.

"These cat's shall be attending the gathering tonight." she meowed, closing her eyes she recited the names perfectly,

"Stormsong, Suneyes, Shadowtalon, Riverspirit, Tigerheart, Jayriver, Mintpaw, Tanglepaw, Rosepaw, Spiritpaw." Scanning her gaze over the cats, she awaited a response.

Tanglepaw sprinted from the apprentice's den his fur fluffed up into an excited ball of ginger fur and claws. Taking a glance at his mentor he let out a giant grin, Great! i get to annoy her more! Padding towards her he meowed devilishly,

"Guess who gets to go to the gathering with his best friend, Riverspirit?" With a laugh he plopped right down and waited impatiently for the Hazelstar to say when they could actually get up and go to the gathering.</sup>

With heavy eyes the young ginger and white she-cat slowly cascaded from the mound of sleeping apprentice's, or what they called the apprentice's den. Letting out a tiny yawn she silently sat down, directly in the middle of the chattering group of cats.

She really didn't care what these cats were muttering about she just wanted to hear Hazelstar. Blinking the sleep away she suddenly became aware of the fact that she was going to the gathering. Smirking she knew just how fun this event could be.

With this news Mintpaw's once sleep enhanced gaze was replaced by a look of pure mischief, oh she'd have fun for sure!

<sup>Riverspirit stretched in the shade of the gray clouds hovering above, reacting to her leader's call with a drowsy dash across the damp clearing toward the Tall-rock. She wasn't well rested due to having such a day with Tanglepaw, but at least she was rested enough that she could still go without tripping over her own paws.

If I am going. Riverspirit reminded herself, praying she wasn't. She sure didn't want to, she wouldn't be her friendly, outgoing self with being tired and all. Especially without either Stargaze or Eclipseclaw to accomany her. Sitting at the edge of the crowd she awaited for Hazelstar's announcement to cease.

But, unfortunately, instead of going back to the warriors den to get some sleep, her prayers wern't answered when she heard her name be called to attend the gathering. Even worse, Stargaze nor Eclipseclaw was coming. Piling up on that, her apprentice, Tanglepaw, was.

And soon enough Tanglepaw came bounding into her scene of despair, bragging. "Tsk. Lucky little furball." she murmured, rolling her eyes. "Maybe one of the leaders will snap your head off for you annoying them so much."</sup>

Brokenfang arose with a mighty yawn and stretched his massive muscles at the sound of Hazelstar's meeting call. He jumped over numerous sleeping cats in the warrior's den and out into the rain soaked clearing. Well, he thought, at least it isn't raining now. With this thought he sluggishly made his way under the tall-rock and sat down toward the back. He was just able to make out the words she spoke and heard his name called. He was going to the gathering. He waited on the damp surface, soaking at the sky with his amber gaze. More rain, just what we want. He gave a low growl at the sign of rain with thunder and lightning that made his fur bristle with unease.

Jayriver picked his way through dozens if cats. dead of night, what a time to announce who is going to a gathering, neverless he trudged on sleepily. Huffing he approached the cold place beneath the tall rock. So chilly and rainy. Will this treacherous storm ever end. Jayriver was so sick of hunting in the darkness of clouds and in the wet. He hated it so much. Oh, well, he needed to go to the gathering.
