KESTRELKIT
Let's Start A Riot!, A Riot!
Kestrelkit padded into the deep expanse of trees, the sunlight flickered through the leaves, her mouth watered at the scent of prey, it was all too welcoming. Tell me why kits can't come out here? We're all safe and the forest looks even safer.
Blinking she couldn't hold back her grin, everything was more then wonderful, I'm finally free! I'm away from the nursery and I'm out here! In the forest! Narrowing her gaze she opened her mouth, Right. I need to catch some prey!
The sharp scent of mouth drifted by her senses and instantly she dropped into a crouch. She's seen the apprentices do this a million times, yet she wasn't quite sure why it seemed much harder outside of camp. Shrugging she tried to locate her prey, and then she saw it. The little creature was nibbling happily away at a nut, completely oblivious to the three cats. Perhaps it was because they were downwind.
Sneaking forward Kestrelkit was able to get a fox-length away before she leaped. Of course she was much to short but made up for it with an awkward dive. The mouse landed right under her chest, practically smothered by her long fur. The brown-critter scuttled down along her belly, stepping back Kestrelkit was able to clamp it down with her paw.
Peering down with interest she gently lifted her paw and saw her prey trembling with fear, she nearly felt sorry. Actually she did feel really bad, but she couldn't show weakness in front of Silentkit so she quickly dispatched the shivering mouse with a bite to the neck. Picking it up between her jaws she taunted it around and practically shoved it in Silentkit's face,
"Ha! I caught my first prey before you did!" she bragged, her eyes sparkling. Sitting down she decided she was quite hungry, setting the critter down she was about to take a bite when she noticed Skunk-kit staring at her. Blinking Kestrelkit pawed the mouse towards him, he's probably so young, he's never had prey before!
Upon the realization she offered the mouse to him, she wasn't too much hungry, plus the mouse was kind of small.
"Here you take it, I'm not hungry." she meowed to Skunk-kit.
