Signs of Darkening Rain

<sup>Rainflight stopped her fast pace as she exited the camp, feeling the cold breeze ruffle her fur and the pelting rain soak in her skin. It sure wasn't the nicest day to be taking a walk, but it was to her. Actually, it didn't matter what kind of weather it was, as long as she was outside of camp.

Waiting for Nightflare, as soon as he caught up to her she started walking, gazing upward at the sky with a distant look in her eyes. But it was only a few moments before the she-cat shifted her gaze back to the black tom.

"I need to talk to you."</sup>

<sup>Nightflare kept pace with his sister and kept an eye on her as she stared up into the stormy, blue sky with a look that shows that they weren’t all here. The tom kept quiet not wanting to break her trance of thought, it she was even thinking and kept on with the small walk. Before he knew it Rainflight turned to him with a confusing look. Nightflare’s fur stood on end,
“What is it?” He asked slowing down his pace.

<sup>"Well..." Rainflight started, staring back up at the sky distantly. "I had this dream...a...a StarClan cat it seemed was there. And then rogues came...lots and lots of rogues..." she paused with a shiver as she recalled the memory, then went on.

"They were yowling something, but I forget what. Then some big rogue jumped on me and said it wanted the Clans dead. Do you think all that ment something? Or was it just a useless nightmare...?" Rainflight sighed, opening her jaws to continue her thoughts as if Nightflare wern't there.

"M-Nightflare!" she cut off her sentence with a yowl, her eyes widening at the sky. "Nightflare! Th-there's a cat in the clouds! Do you see it? It looks like a cat from one of those other Clans! It may be RiverClan..." Franticly she looked back at Nightflare. "Isn't that weird?" She asked with a confused expression, but her confusion grew when the shape in the cloud disappeared when she looked back up.

"Strange...its gone." Rainflight murmured, tipping her head to the side. "You saw it, didn't you?"</sup>

<sup>Nightflare listened intensely as his sister continued on with what she was telling him. With a confusion look Nightflare stared wide eye at the black she-cat,
“Umm….” But he wasn’t able to say what he was going to because out of no where his sister screeched his name, with her eyes as big as the full moon looking up at the sky. He turned his gaze up toward the cloudy sky and saw nothing but clouds and heavy drops of water landing on his white muzzle.

He shook his head and looked back up, and at that second Rainflight’s head tipped to the side asking him the question if he had seen the figure. He slowly shook his head,
“I didn’t see anything Rainflight…. I think we should head back, and maybe you should probably get some sleep.” Nightflare whispered laying his tail on top of her shoulder.</sup>

<sup>"B-but Nightflare! It was there! I swear!" Rainflight objected, thrusting her muzzle near his. "It was there..." the black she-cat backed away, heaving a heavy sigh. "Yeah...your probably right. I'm going crazy."

Shaking her head she gazed back up at the heavens above, storm clouds threatening them above. There was no sign of the cat she saw earlier anymore. Rainflight snorted to herself, lashing her tail in frustration.

"Well, at least the gathering is tonight. I can clear my mind there too. The cats there will get my mind in shape." the young cat shrugged. Half heartily she shifted her gaze toward her brother, "Do ya wanna keep going or go back and let you take a break from my craziness?"</sup>

<sup>Nightflare stared straight into his sister’s eyes as she thrust her muzzle to his.
“Rainflight I don’t think your going crazy, I believe you. The figure you saw might just be a sign or Starclan playing tricks with you.” He meowed brushing his cheek fur against hers.

He nodded as she mention about the clearing,
“Well I hope I go I want to know what is going on with the other clans.” He meowed smiling. Looking up at the darkening sky he sighed deeply and looked down at his sister.
“Only if you want to try clearing your mind more, I’m up for anything you want to do.” He meowed licking his front paw and picking out the mud that started to grow from his claws.</sup>
