Fawnstep exploded into camp her liquid green gaze seemed to be brimming with tears. She couldn't control them from dripping down her face, her mother was dying, she possibly lost the trust of a fellow warrior, and she knew something horrid was coming. This was all just too much for the she-cat.
And then right there it seemed as if Starclan couldn't be nice to Fawnstep, not just once. Before her, laid the rasping body of her mother. Each breath came out ragged and short, it seemed so painful.
Dropping the herbs she pressed her nose into her mother's fur and wept. The sickness had taken over there was nothing she could do. Nothing at all. Moondust had warned her that sometimes not every cat could be saved, even with the herbs there was nothing she could do now. I was too late..
So instead she laid their, weeping into her mother's fur, her eyes dripping and her breaths choking,
"Mo-Mother? Do you remember that time when I was so scared I hid behind your legs? Or that time when I wept into your fur because I was scared of the older warriors. Or-or--" her words broke off into sobs, and in the end she decided she needed to stop.
With a shaky breath she removed her weeping soul from her mother's body. Padding to the back of the den she popped a poppy seed into her mouth and carried it back to her mother. Shaking the seeds from the pod she opened Silentpool's mouth with gentle paws and coaxed the seeds down her throat.
"This will ease the pain--" And make your journey much gentler. With a heavy heart she decided to lay beside her mother's body until her final breath was gone.
ooc:No worries Snow & I have this planned c: And I didn't say she was dead yet, I'm leaving her death post to Snow.
