Serendipity [ser·en·dip·i·ty] n. The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident.

There she was, the middle child of an accidental love, a forbidden love. Was she anything special? No. She was just Wavekit. The left out, boring she-kit that resembled not even her foster mother, yet alone her true parents. She wasn't as sour as her sister, she wasn't as skittish as her brother. She was average in every aspect.

She was a runt, small boned and sleek. She resembled nothing of her parents appearance. She didn't even carry their splendid blue orbs. She carried unusual dull, oh-so-very dull brown eyes.

Her sister carried her mother's strong white pelt, and her father's curse of blindness. While her brother seemed to carry her father's fur, and mother's shining blue eyes. She carried the pelt of an unknown character. One that no one cared for.

Sighing she slipped her slender body beside her sister' sleeping form. She was the first one up, like always. She was unusual once again, unlike most cats she loathed the night. Secretly she was terrified of the smothering darkness.

"Snowkit." she mewed quietly, prodding Snowkit's side with outstretched claws, she took a strong back-swing of her hind leg and slammed the paw into Ravenkit's face.
"Wake up." she growled impatiently. But if there was one thing normal or perhaps this was counted as abnormal? She was very impatient.

<sup>Snowkit blinked open one of her sightless blue eyes, and snorted,
"For Starclan sake what do you want?!" Hissed Snowkit, lifting her snow white head and faced her sister.

"Since when did you think you can boss us around?" She growled getting in a sitting position, and felt uncomfortable and needing to clean off her white pelt. With no hestitation Snowkit licked her pelt until it was smooth and shined in the dim moonlight.

Blackness...

It was all dark. No hint of light was found here. No. Not even a small twinkle. Just plain black. It felt as if the darkness hungered for the small black tom who was cowering in this newly found dim, desperately in need for some kind of light to guide him. Suddenly, the small kit got his wish. But not what he was looking for.

Blue-green eyes shimmered in the pitch-black scenery, glaring coldly at the frightened tom. It's gaze widened, then suddenly claws lashed at the kit, the blood-stained weapons latching onto the kit, sinking into his flesh with an abnormal pleasure...

Ravenkit let out a squeak of surprise mixed with pain when he entered into the awakening world, whipping his head from side to side widely, his foggy mind still in his nightmare. Calming down a bit when he finally saw what the cause was for his real pain, he shook his head to wake himself.

"W-what?" he questioned quietly to his sister's sudden wake up call, his eyes in slits due to his still adjusting eyes.

( Lol I posted mine a minute after Snow's XD Weird. And Wish is Serendipity a new word you found or something? Because when I first saw the title I was going: "Whaaa? Is that a random word Wish made up or something? " then when I saw the description I went "Ohhhhh" XP )

Wavekit only stared grimly back at her sister,
"Keep your trap shut, baby sister." she meowed dryly, it made sense to call her sister that. For she was the youngest of the forbidden kit trio.

Turning to her brother she studied the tom with careful attenuation, "I think we should do something today, something fun." she meowed slowly. She wasn't usually one to mention adventures. Yet alone participate in them. But for some reason she wanted to stand out today. She wanted to be different and fun for once.

Sitting down equally a tail-length from the pair she sat down and studied them all carefully. After her quick examination she nodded thoughtfully to herself.
"I say we go and escape from camp and see who's been killing our cats."

ooc:Haha. Nope! It's a word I knew since I was 10 there's a movie called that and I asked my mom what it meant and she said it means, "By Accident you stumble into something great." And the movie was about two people falling in love but the girl said if they're meant to be then they'll find each other again. Because the guy wanted to go out with her again but she said no.

So she tested if they're made to be by going in an elevator and she said if we're meant to be then we'll end up going on the same floor right? So they both go in different ones and they both click the same number but sadly the guy's elevator gets crowded and the girl waits on the floor for a couple minutes then walks away. And when he goes up there she's gone. And they do another test after he chased her down the street where she signs her name on a rare book and sells it to a book store and it had her phone number in it.

And he was forced to sign his name & number on a dollar bill and they give it to a person. Then the girl says that if they're truly meant to be then they'll both end up with the book and dollar again xD
And they actually do. It's a good movie xD

Anyways Serendipity has always been one of my favorite words c:

Ravenkit shivered at the thought, then felt a flashback hit him when he thought about his recent nightmare. As soon as Wavekit mentioned 'killing our cats', he swore he saw the blood-stained claws from his dream lash out in front of him again, reaching for his flesh with a hungry desire for more blood.

A shiver ran through his body again, but he tried to hide it with a rough shake to straighten himself a little bit. Barely looking Wavekit in the eye he meowed with a slightly cocked head, "Isn't R-Ravenclaw k-...decreasing our Clan's numbers?"

( Ohhh XD Need to make a note of watching the movie sometime )

Wavekit removed herself from her sitting position and circled the whimpering tom, her eyes raked down his scrawny pelt. Circling him once more she swung her head to face Snowkit,
"Your not scared right, baby sister?"she asked questionably, nodding to herself she sat down. Not even caring if Snowkit answered or not.

Switching her dull brown gaze from her brilliantly appealing siblings she watched her foster mother's pelt rise and fall. She hadn't been active much, perhaps the life of a queen was tiring. Shrugging she ripped her gaze from Twilightfrost's pelt and settled it down onto Ravenkit's skinny, trembling form.

Jabbing him with a paw she impatiently meowed,
"Come on, you know Ravenclaw's too much of a baby to hurt us. I bet someone's helping him anyway." With a flick of her white tipped tail she sighed. Shaking her head she decided that being the middle child wasn't anything special.

Ravenkit sighed, indicating he was still in doubt. His eyes strayed off of Wavekit and down to the ground, his fur bristling with an uncomfortable ease. "I-I did see him with Moondust before..." he whispered. "But i-if it is Ravenclaw or not...w-we still have a big chance of d-d..."

Ravenkit trailed off, his eyes staring in the distance. The last thing he wanted was to go off into unknown territory and taking the chance that he might see Ravenclaw again. But this time he wouldn't be spared.

Shaking the horrible daydream away of Ravenclaw slaughtering him with his own claws, he shifted uncomfortably from where he sat. "A-are you sure you want to do this? I-I don't find it a very fond idea...w-we can always play a game in here instead of going out th-there..."

<sup>Snowkit glared at her sister with her ice blue eyes, feeling anger for her sister’s stupidity.
“Wavekit, are you just trying to kill us?” Snowkit hissed turning away from the gray she-cat that stood in front of her. She knew this could be dangerous, but she wasn’t scared, no not at all she actually wanted to go out and look for the killer, but she could feel that her brother didn’t want to go.

Snowkit turned toward where she scented her brother off to the side and thought of what they could find out there and maybe meeting there father and get more out of him. The white kit turned back to Wavekit and nodded,
“I’m in, you?” She asked not looking back at Ravenkit.</sup>

Wavekit snorted,
"I knew you couldn't resist getting in trouble, you little brat." she meowed dryly, her dull brown gaze never leaving Snowkit's narrowed face. She always looked as if she was angry, or perhaps just disgruntled. Whatever she really felt she always looked mad.

Turning to Ravenkit she gaze him the deadliest stare this often boring kitten could manage. "You don't seriously think our own father would kill us?" she meowed in fake disbelief. "And what game could we play? Chase our tails like mouse-brained dogs?" Spitting proudly she hissed,

"I'm a warrior! Not a useless kit! So quit being a kitty-pet and grow a backbone." Narrowing her gaze she left the nursery with an angry lash of her tail,
"Come with me if your actually a warrior." she called over her shoulder, before leaving for good.

<sup>"B-but..." Ravenkit managed to reject, but couldn't finish as Wavekit whipped around and exited the shelter Ravenkit knew so well and felt so safe at. It looked like no one was listening to him once again. Not even Snowkit. And again, he felt unnoticed, scared, and alone.

But he would feel even more alone if he didn't tag along. He was dependent on Snowkit, and if she was going he would to. It was always like that. And Ravenkit himself didn't know if it would even change.

Glancing at Snowkit he whispered in a defeated voice, "Snowkit...?"

( Gah I can't wait for Ravenkit to be like Crow. I wonder how long it'll take though =/ )</sup>

<sup>Snowkit felt her sister hard stare, almost like she was challenging her. A growl escaped Snowkit's mouth when she called Ravenkit a kitty-pet, he could help that he was the way he was. As Wavekit left the nursery into the clearing, the nursery grew to a complete silence for a few moments before Ravenkit had broken it with her name.

Without turning to him she nodded and followed Waveit's gaze out to the cloudy clearing. She caught up to the gray she-kit and quickly took a deep breathe.
"Wavekit we better not stay out long, I can feel and smell a big storm coming." Snowkit mumbled.</sup>

Wavekit rolled her eyes,
"I know Snowkit, I'm not mouse-brained." she growled, pausing she turned her gaze to the sky. Everything was so--gray, and so creepy. She could feel the energy rise up within her, something about this storm, something about the air felt different.

"I think I can feel it to." she breathed quietly, her anger forgotten. Shaking her head she flicked her tail towards the camp exit.

"Hurry! Before the warriors notice us." she whispered to her siblings. Creeping forward she padded along the side of the camp, amongst the ferns. With each step she made her way towards the exit.

A sudden crack of lightning made her race forward, thunder soon followed. And then she was out of the camp, the sky crackling above her.

<sub>Ravenkit sighed. But he had to follow. Even without looking, he could scent a storm threatening the sky, and he especially didn't want to be alone in that. He would be more frightened than a mouse about to die in the claws of its predator.

Reluctantly, he raced after his two siblings, hoping to find comfort in the presence of the familiar. All he prayed for is that they would all be safe. "Sn-Snowkit! W-wait up!" he called despratly, chasing the two sharp-tongued she-cats.</sub>
