Untold

Owltalon found himself pondering about, First off he decided that he would indeed train his new apprentice. Secondly he wondered on how to train the mysterious she-cat, and Thirdly would they get along? As these thoughts seemed to tumble 'round and 'round, he found himself padding towards the apprentice's den.

His large, muscular body seemed to glow in the pale sunlight. As the swirling, chilly breeze seemed to whisk right past his pelt. With a slight shudder he continued onwards, perking his stout muzzle towards the sky he found himself longing for the warmth of Green-leaf. But with a disgruntled sigh he knew that wouldn't be for at least another moon, at least.

Coming to a halt he decided he'd simply stop short and call out for his apprentice. But before he did so he decided he'd get his stretching done before he showed Amberpaw her new found territory.

Grasping the ground with his outstretched claws he reached within the earth, with a grunt he found his belly skimming the ground while his spine curled upwards. Content with the way how his spine felt, he decided it was good enough for now and that he'd break out his legs during their run.

"Amberpaw?" He called out into the pale sunlight, his voice echoed around the premises. With that he settled his rump down onto the snow covered camp floor, while his long, feathery tail curled over his paws.

"Yes" Amberpaw asked her voice a sweet as possible. She stood up and arched her back blinking away the last bits of her dream. She yawned wanting to sleep more but shook her head.

Owltalon gazed down at the younger she-cat, she looked as if she were nice but he wasn't positive yet. It could all be a hoax, blinking his golden-tinged eyes he found himself meowing,
"You are no longer a kit, so don't expect easy training lessons." His voice grew stern towards the end of his small, but effective speech. He wasn't much of a serious cat, more of a kind, gentle tom. But he needed to train this apprentice well, and he wasn't sure he had exactly pulled off Seabird's training well enough.

Straightening his posture he held his chin high before he went through his agenda for today,
"First off we'll be making a round trip of Thunderclan's Territory." Showing the territory? Check. "Then we'll be doing some hunting lessons." Teaching her how to hunt? Check."And at last you'll be cleaning out the elders den then going off to sleep, after a good meal." Ah, the apprentice chores? Check.

As he finished his list of many things for the newly named apprentice, he decided he'd wait for her response before he made a move for the Camp's exit.

Rainflight blinked open her eyes, a heavy sleepy feeling still resting on her shoulders. But, Rainflight knew, no matter how tired she was, there was no going back to the peaceful wings of sleep once the wings itself have unwrapped her body for the night. A quiet growl of discomfort from her stomach made the black queen groan in protest, not wanting to get up, but hunger won her over, giving into the pain that started to develop her belly.

Carefully, she got up, clentching her teeth in sudden pain as her legs still were asleep. Ignoring it, she silently stepped over her dozing kits, heading out of the nursery in search of prey to satisfy her groaning stomach.

By then, her legs were feeling better, awake and energetic as usual, in restless wait of running through the forest again, catching prey for the Clan. Not bothering to stretch, Rainflight bounded towards the fresh-kill pile, but something caught her attention.

Owltalon's voice. But, something wasn't right...it sounded more, unlike himself? Rainflight flicked her head toward the direction of what was causing her curiosity to spark, and of course, caught sight of her mate, Owltalon. She smirked, now knowing why he was using the tone of voice she remembered when he was lecturing her long ago when she was still a kit. She couldn't keep her mouth shut in time before she called playfully, "Keep on trying to act all Mr. Serious and you'll succeed in having an apprentice who hates your guts and won't listen to a single thing you say."

Owltalon felt a small smile flutter down upon his well shaped features, while his ears found themselves swiveling towards her beautiful voice. Slipping his gaze from his new apprentice, onto the slender body of his mate he found himself chuckling slightly. Lifting his brows he shook his head lightly,

"I'm only instructing her on what to do, if I do obtain a serious tone then most likely she won't listen to me." He meowed to the she-cat. Smirking slightly he decided he'd add a small choice set of words that would turn his mate rigid with boredom.

"Don't you have two kits to attend to?" He motioned his head to the nursery where he was sure he heard, Kestrelkit's shrill voicing screeching, 'MOTHER!' And the muttering of her sister telling her to 'shut up.' Smiling he turned his attention back to his apprentice and continued on waiting for a response.

Maplewing chuckled at the sudden humor between the other cats. Sitting on the damp earth from the melting snow, she sweeped her large, feathery tail over her dainty paws. Her fur was a mess, sticking out in all directions possible, as if she had shaken it out after falling in the river. Exhaling sharply, she raised her paw up to her muzzle, swiped it with her tongue, then drew it over her ears. Repeating the cycle until her pelt was in place, she looked up at Rainflight, eagerly waiting for her to make some smart remark to her mate.

ooc:I'm going to respond to Riverstar on this board and cancel out my board, and just continuing Cardinalfeather over here x.x And Frost do you want to roleplay Maplewing & Cardinalfeather?

Cardinalfeahter found himself surprised that the leader of Thunderclan, not just any any warrior, but the leader. Was talking to him, of course she spoke to all of her warriors but for some reason she had singled out him. Nervously glancing to his left he then realized, Mouse-brain your the only one awake.... That would explain it but when he glanced to his right he began to realize others had arose as well, and he wasn't the only cat awake.

"Er..yes, the morning just seemed quite welcoming." He meowed in the friendliest tone he could muster, while his paws fidgeted from underneath his muscular body. Glancing to his left once more, the pretty she-cat Maplewing had replaced the once unoccupied place.

"Good Morning Maplewing." he meowed dipping his head, while awkwardly trying to escape his leader's grasp. That was the other thing Cardinalfeather couldn't handle, being put on the spotlight.

Maplewing tilted her head toward Cardinalfeather's figure, mewling in a friendly tone. "Good Morning. I see you're up early like me." She yawned once again, obviously still tired. With one last swipe of her tongue on her paw, she drew it over her ear the final time, paying more attention to Cardinalfeather.

"Did anything wake you up so early? Maybe those pesky woodpeckers, that's what woke me up." Maplewing, being talkative as usual, wasn't exactly whispering. But Maplewing was talking low enough to not disturb the other Clan cats before they awaken.

Under the watchful gaze of Riverstar he couldn't exactly bring himself to answer truthfully. Well it was considered truthfully but not to his best, as if it weren't to pass his expectations. Nervously his flickering gaze ran between the two she-cats, he wanted to answer Maplewing but he needed to wait for a response from Riverstar. Ah! This is all so troublesome. His mind on haywire he finally brought his little seizure to a stop.

Turning his gaze towards Maplewing he meowed although the stuttering was quite apparent.
"Ah..yes I tend to rise early most often." Pausing he licked his jaws nervously, "It's quite common for me, but I'm a light sleeper and anything can cause me to awake." Although he had tried to stay clear and well behavied, his paws were fidgeting once again, and his eyes were running laps. Ah, this was indeed all so troublesome Did he mention he also had issues with she-cats?

Maplewing glanced from Riverstar to Cardinalfeather, grinning in comprehension. "I'll leave you to talk to Riverstar," She mewled and nodded once to her leader. "I'll be hunting." She stepped away from the other two cats, turning toward the camp entrance. Maplewing starting padding out of camp, exiting soon after she started.

Riverstar's whiskers twitched in amusement at Cardinalfeather's behavior, feeling sorry for the tom with all these 'she-cats' swarming around him like eagles, aiming for their prey. The ThunderClan cat hated to make it harder for him by torturing him, but Riverstar had to be polite, it seemed Maplewing would be lonely hunting by herself.

"Maplewing! You can join us if you want." she invited casually, accedently sounding more like her easy-going warrior personality instead of her usual leader tone. "If that's ok with Cardinalfeather of course." she added quickly, nervously laughing.

Rainflight snorted, stretching her neck downwards and grasping warm flesh of fresh-kill, satisfyingly finishing what she wanted to do. Strolling back to the nursery she called over her should with a slight grin, "Don't you have an apprentice to torture?"

As soon as the tabby colored tom had turned his head for, what? Two seconds? One second maybe? Her sweet voice caressed his ears and he found himself displaying quite a goofy smile as he turned to glance at his mate.

Blinking he meowed humorously,
"I was getting to that, I just heard someone's annoying voice interrupt my planned 'torturing'." Smiling once more he faced his apprentice, once again.

But this time he could care less if she actually responded to him, for his mind was trapped in the days of his apprenticeship. When he first met Rainflight she had been annoying. But after they became friends, their relationship quickly bloomed. And now they were much more.

Something tickled his chin, blinking he snorted as a warm breeze swept bye. Clearly sent by Starclan to wake him from his memories, sweet, sweet memories.. Instead he sighed and went back to waiting for Amberpaw's response.

Maplewing turned around briskly. Her cool, clear blue gaze set on Cardinalfeather and Riverstar, she nodded. Maplewing had noticed the easy going tone of Riverstar, but ignored it. "Of course." She felt honored to hunt with her leader, even if Riverstar could hunt with anyone she pleased.

Maplewing also needed to get out of camp for a while; get a little exercise. Glancing over to Cardinalfeather, she mewled the question. "Would that be okay with you?" Maplewing paused, then started again. "I'd perfectly understand if it's not." Her expression didn't change; still the same neutral face.

Cardinalfeather found himself cornered in a deep, revolving hole. Suddenly his escape route would twist before him. But then as the hole revolved it was lost from his view and he was still trapped. Cornered and trapped. Blinking he twitched his ears in embarrassment,
"Um..er.. I suppose it's fine." Coughing he turned away his cheeks flushing, "I could us-use the experience." He finished his words with a lung breaking cough. Turning his gaze back onto the she-cats he finally was able to muster the words that were stuck in his throat,

"So..er..Riverstar..Maplewing, where will w-we be heading?" he asked nervously, while his tail impatiently flickered across the ground. His claws found themselves repetitively going in and out of the hard, dusty ground. Gulping he offered a small, sheepish grin hoping the she-cats would give him some space to breath.

Riverstar was having one of the amused moments of her life. As she observed Cardinalfeather with curiosity, it was known to her that he was still having trouble with she-cats. She had known him when he was an apprentice, but who knew that he was still dealing with his nervous nature when with the opposite gender, knowing he had dealt with it his whole life.

Maplewing, on the other hand, was doing just fine. She was calm, and she treated every cat with the same respect. But sadly, somehow it was just adding onto Cardinalfeather's worries. Riverstar had no clue why.

Nodding happily to both of her Clanmates, she bounded off. "We can head off somewhere near ShadowClan's border. I found a pretty good amount of prey this time of year there." Riverstar replied to the tom's question as she bounded off, taking the lead as she raced off out of camp.
