Sunrise Secrets

ooc: Since Midnightkit hasn't repsonded yet and would be a waste of roleplay for me to type we'll just pretend she got her ceremony too. And when she is roleplayed ever again I'll just PM whoever has her, who her mentor is.


Hazelstar's gaze didn't leave the apprentices until they met both of their mentors. Turning her gaze to the remainder of Suneye's kits she continued the ceremony,

"Riverspirit, Eclipseclaw your both ready for your first apprentice." Hazelstar meowed, she felt her body quiver slightly. She hoped her plan worked out, she didn't want anything to happen to Jadepaw. For Eclipseclaw was a very impatient, ignorant cat.

"Riverspirit I hope you'll pass on your courage and strong spirit to Tanglepaw and to teach him the skills to become a strong warrior of Windclan." she yowled these words to her clan, her green gaze slipping to Tanglpaw.

"Eclipseclaw I expect you to pass your determined heart and powerful figure to Jadepaw and to teach her the skills to become a strong warrior of Winclan." The words slipped from her mouth with ease. She knew she made a good choice.

Tanglepaw couldn't hold in his excitement, it would be impossible not to. With a powerful bounce he raced to Riverspirit's side. Creeping up along her left flank he appeared before her.

Giving her a devious grin, he shoved his nose quite painfully onto hers. Without waiting for her to accept him he pulled back with an excited bound.
"Now I'm an apprentice!" he exclaimed quite rudely.

<sup>Riverspirit couldn't help but grin. A...mentor? Already? Although carrying such a responsibility is a pain, it would bring more excitement instead of the same old boring warrior routine. And she would finally be looked at as a true loyal warrior.

Riverspirit just hoped she had gotten a good apprentice. She wanted to be like her best friend Stargaze; quiet and good-mannered. It would be so much better to work with. Plus she is used to that kind of personality, so she and her apprentice would do just fine.

But as soon as her new apprentice Tanglepaw appeared in the scene and gave her quiet a painful greeting, she was regretting being a mentor at all. With a glare she snapped, "Tanglepaw! Shut your trap or you won't train until you actually act like an apprentice!"

Though, this could be fun...</sup>

^{Jadepaw eyes widen as her name was called for being Eclipseclaw's apprentice, No! This can't be true. Jadepaw pleaded to herself that is was all just a dream, but it wasn't. She lower her head and slowly limped toward the dark warrior and lifted her nose hoping she would atleast get accepted.}

Eclipseclaw glared down at the she-cat in disgust,
"Great I get to train the deformed kitty." she muttered under her breath. But she ignored her distaste and stared down at the she-kit,
"You don't look very pleased." she meowed a bit more loudly.

"How do I know you'll even try if your already acting like a failure." she meowed slightly more harshly, narrowing her gaze she mowed, "I won't accept you until you accept me."

Tanglepaw raised his brows, he was slightly surprised by his mentor's actions. He expected her to be--well nicer. But he shrugged it off, he had to be happy. After all he was an apprentice.
"Sorry--Riverspirit I'll try better next time." he meowed in the perfect apprentice tone. But like stated much earlier, he had issues being perfect. With a grin he swished his tail, "I can't promise you that I will be a humble, perfect apprentice. But I can promise I'll try my hardest."

<sub>Riverspirit looked at Tanglepaw suspiciously, but shook it off. "I hope so." she meowed more in a friendly tone, letting out a tired sigh. The tone of Tanglepaw's reply was refreshing, but it kind of creeped her out. She'd rather deal with a rude apprentice than a perfect one.

Stretching out her limps she meowed, "Well, it's the beginning of the day and it seems as if the leader is done...I think..." the warrior meowed uncertainly, gazing back up at Hazelstar. Riverspirit sure hoped she was done, because she wanted to get a taste of what mentoring was like.

Turning her attention back at Tanglepaw she continued, "Why don't we start off our training with a look around the territory."</sub>

<sup>Jadepaw stared at the warrior with wide eyes.
"I do accept you!" Jadepaw meowed in disbelief. She looked up in the warriors eyes pleading for her to accept her for her apprentice. She took one small step away from her suppose-to-be mentor and sighed.

"Look, I'm not just some deform cat. Why is it with all of you perfect cats think that just because we are not like you that you think that we can't do anything." She growled at the end of her sentence feeling anger go through her body. She wanted this cat to train her, so she could show her that she is more than some deform cat that can't do anything. Jadepaw rolled her eyes at the she-cat, before glaring at her with her unique jade gaze.</sup>

Eclipseclaw snorted,
"I never said anything about your stupid deformity." she growled, although she knew that was a lie. Actually she expected the runt not even to hear that. So technically she didn't say it, Jadepaw was just being nosy.

"I said it was your attitude that needed to be fixed, if I was deformed I wouldn't be mumbling around in this shell of yours." she meowed matter of factly. Standing up she stretched out her limbs and let out a luxurious sigh.

"If I was deformed I wouldn't let anything stand in my path, cats would bask in my glory, and I would be a legend." Pressing her nose to Jadepaw's she meowed,
"So start acting like a determined apprentice instead of a pesky brat and grow up."


Tanglepaw shrugged,
"I think she still has to announce Thornpaw and Spiritpaw's mentors yet." he meowed, although he wanted to train, it would be quite rude to just run out on a meeting. Plus he wasn't sure if he wanted Thornpaw and Spiritpaw as an enemy.


Hazelstar blinked she only had two more apprentice ceremonies to name off and then she was done. Smiling she let the word's role off her tongue in ease.
"Frostbite your a fine warrior and have trained many warriors of my clan." Pausing she let her gaze fall on her old friend with a grin she yowled,

"I expect you to pass on your wonderful traits to Thornpaw and to train him to become a strong warrior of Windclan."

Letting her honey-colored gaze fall upon Spiritpaw she narrowed her eyes in pride,
"I myself shall take upon this tom as my apprentice, Spiritpaw I promise to pass on everything I know so you can become a warrior this clan is proud of." Leaping from the tall-rock her paws met the ground with a soft 'thump'.

Standing before her apprentice she let her nose dip forward, allowing him to accept her as well. Finally I get to train another tom, and by the looks of it Spiritpaw will be a great challenge.

Thornpaw let out a sneer of delight. Now that the ceremony was over and done with and his mentor was named, he could finally do something useful for once in his life. Train. Licking his jaw he sped off in the direction of Frostbite, determind to start off the day getting out of camp.

Stopping dead in his tracks as he appeared before the senior warrior he grunted quiet grumpily, "We are going to train, right?"

Riverspirit relaxed her tense shoulders when the summoning was finally over, then turned immediately back to her apprentice. "Now we can take a tour." she meowed as she raced off in the direction of the camp entrance. "Better be quick or you'll be left behind, my little apprentice!" she teased before running out of sight.

Eaglepaw eagerly looked at Tigerheart once more, his eyes shinning with excitement and a need to learn. "Can we go now? Can we train?" he questioned, getting up from his spot to calm down his nerves.

<sup>One... two.... three... four... five... six. Now it is my turn. Spiritpaw grinned as he waited for Hazelstar to announce his mentor. He was happy that it wouldn't be Riverspirit or Eclipseclaw. They get to handle Suneyes'perfect kits. At least Riverspirit does. Spiritpaw was bursting trying not to laugh at Eclispeclaw and her new apprentice.

But then Spiritpaw heard that Hazelstar was taking him on. His eyes went wide. He didn't want her as his mentor, he would have to be perfect for the leader. Do as she said and not disobey.

Well, he had no other choice, he lifted himself up and touched Hazelstar's nose. He didn't want to have people saying he was disloyal for turning down the leader.

Suneyes beamed as the last of her kits were apprenticed. But she was still hesitant about Eclipseclaw mentoring Jadepaw. She had forced herself not to attack the warrior for treating her daughter that way.

"Congratulations, Suneyes" Moon meowed to her as she turned to return to her and Stormsongs adopted kits. Suneyes would be back in the warriors den tonight. "Thank you Moon." she replied.</sup>

Hazelstar flicked her tail for the tom to follow her, padding to the side of camp where the apprentice's den rested she meowed,
"Fine yourself a nest, and then get something to eat. If your not hungry then we'll continue your training with a tour of the clan's territory."

Sitting down she awaited for his choice,once again she was a mentor. She often enjoyed training the young of her clan and missed it greatly. As leader she only had one apprentice, and that had been Crystalpaw. Sadly the she-cat had died for unknown reasons. Shaking her head she chose not to dwell in the past but to you onwards into the future.

Letting out a yawn, she let her muscles relax for the tom did have to explore his new den. Already she could tell the tom was cool and calm. He had an edgy side, but he seemed willing to learn. She also made a mental note to keep him away from Eclipseclaw and Riverspirit. Hopefully she'd be able to sort their feud.

^{The large silver tom dipped his head in thank you to his friend and leader and looked down at his apprentice that stood in front of him. Frostbite stood up on all four of his paws, but before he could accept his new apprentice the black tom asked about training. Frostbite stared at the young tom with his unique blue-green eyes and softly growled at the tom,
“I didn’t accept you yet as my apprentice didn’t I?”}

<sup>Thornpaw snorted. Maybe he thought wrong. Thornpaw thought the warrior would be more easy-going and less strict, but right now he sure wasn't. At least he wasn't being too bossy. Or at least right now.

Narrowing his eyes, Thornpaw grumbled, "Tell that to Hazelstar if you don't agree to be my mentor." Staring Frostbite straight on he continued, "Either way, I'm satisfied if I'm an apprentice or not. Even if I don't train."</sup>

^{Frostbite rolled his eyes. Wow this is going to be a pain, Frostbite thought to himself looking at the black tom straight in the eyes.
“Don’t you want to become a warrior? If you do I’ll gladly mentor you, instead of mentoring a good enough tom to become a warrior, to stay as an apprentice for the rest of his days.” Frostbite meowed, lifting his head up high making sure the young tom wouldn’t have any stupid ideas of just touching his nose when he didn’t even accept him.}

<sup>Thornpaw growled, lashing his tail in rage. The last thing Thornpaw wanted was to lose this battle and look like a fool, but he wanted to train, not continue arguing like this and risk not training at all.

Thornpaw thought for a moment. He wanted to say something that will satisfy Frostbite and start their training, but he didn't want to sound weak by giving in. It was bad enough to have some cocky mentor, but it would be even more bad if Thornpaw never trained.

"What am I supposed to do for you to accept me? Beg for mercy? If you would just "accept" me then we can get this over with instead of arguing like a couple of fools!" Thornpaw snapped, unsheathing and sheathing his claws in frustration. Sooner or later, hopefully, this nonsense would stop and they could begin.</sup>

^{The annoyed silver tom rolled his eyes and very slightly and quickly brought his nose to the black tom’s nose. Quickly stepping back from the tom he turned toward the apprentice den and ordered from over his shoulder,
“Pick a nest out and come back out here so we can get going with your training.”}
