Quiverfur is small for his age but he’s not the tiniest cat around. Most cats can’t tell how big he really is just because he’s always curled up somewhere or crouched so no one will spot him. Upon first meeting him you might mistake him for an older apprentice but his skills normally make up for it. Most cats also usually recognize him by how knotted and messy his fur looks. It is very rare to not see it knotted up or kind of dirty. It isn’t that he doesn’t try to take care of himself, he is just distracted by jumping from everything around him.
His fur is a swirl of light browns and white until you reach his head which is mostly brown with darker stripes like a tabby. His paws, and tail are much darker that makes it look like he’s been walking through mud so much it just stained his fur. His eyes are a mix between yellow and green but favor the green, especially in the light of the Thunderclan forest. His nose is a soft pink color, surrounded by an outline of black. In his ears are white tufts of fur that seem to show most of the cats quivering when he is having an episode.

Quiverfur hates being the center of attention. If he could he would probably go find a hole somewhere and live in it just so that he wouldn’t be bothered. Being this way he hates making eye contact with cats and has a stuttering issue that only gets worse when he gets nervous. Sometimes he gets so nervous he’ll just stop talking mid-sentence. He has tried many times to break out of this shell, but he has failed every time.
Another thing that tends to shy people away from him is the fact that he seems to be constantly trembling which causes most of his stuttering. They usually find this very annoying or just plain weird so they either avoid him or say things when they think he can’t hear, but he always does. If one actually took time to get to really know him they would know he’s a smart and loyal cat, he just has a fear of nearly everything.
One other thing that also tends to make Quiverfur shy away from people is that he has an unusal attraction to toms. In many cases it leads him to stuttering more around those of that gender rather than she-cats. He knows the idea is not usually smiled upon, but he feels that he should be happy and not just follow the normal because others want him to.

Quiverkit was a product of two young cats who just could keep it in their….well…they just couldn’t keep their hormones in line. Nestleclaw and Briarfang were what most would call frienemies. One second they would be lashing out at each other, nearly ready to tear each other’s throats out then the next cuddled up together to share a piece of freshkill. They were skilled warriors for Thunderclan, but rarely did you ever want to cross their paths. However, it was not shocking that Nestleclaw ended up pregnant. What was shocking was right after the kits were born, the two cats disappeared altogether leaving the kits alone and helpless. Out of the four that were born, Quiverkit had been the only one to survive.
As Quiverkit grew older it became rather evident that his shaking problem was something that was there to stay. The medicine cat looked him over many times and even asked for help form the other clan’s medicine cats but no one could figure out what was wrong with him. He always quietly insisted that he was fine, that the movement made him feel better. But even so, there were some times warriors would see the kit trying to sit so still that he was holding his breath and nearly passing out.
When Quiverkit became Quiverpaw he was put as an apprentice under and old she-cat names Redcloud. Like him she was long haired and so she tried to teach the cat how to take care of himself, but it seemed to do little good. However the she-cat couldn’t help but smile at his attempts to try to look presentable. For a while his apprentice training was going great and many warriors though that Redcloud would actually be able to break Quiverpaw out of his little shell. Sadly it was not meant to be.
Nearly halfway through his training, Redcloud and Quiverpaw were out training rather late. Quiverpaw was working on tracking down a rabbit that had trailed into their territory. Little did he know until it was too late that he had stumbled right into a broken thunderpath. When the sudden scream of a monster hit his ears he looked up terrified but was knocked away in time by Redcloud. However she was hit hard by the monster and killed on impact. Quiverpaw laid on the grass beside the thunderpath staring at his mentor’s still wide eyes and didn’t noticed the twolegs had gotten out of the monster until there was a loud noise something slammed into the ground beside him. In fright he turned and ran not daring to look back.
It was several night before a Thunderclan patrol found him again. He was shaking more than ever and seemed to jump at every sound around him. The tom was given a few days to recuperate but eventually he was given a new mentor. To Quiverpaw, the rest of his training seemed to go by in a haze. His old mentor was gone and his new mentor babied him until the leader decided he was past the age and advanced him to a warrior. At 18 moons old, Quiverpaw was the oldest apprentice and at his ceremony he received the name Quiverfur. He didn’t mind. He heard some kinder warriors grumble that it was a near dishonorable name, but to him it was perfect.
Now as a warrior, Quiverfur does his best to make Thunderclan proud, but it’s all the same to him is he could just sit in a corner and watch the world go by.
