DARKPAW
she-cat ● eight moons ● thunderCLAN ● apprentice
charcoal she-cat with amber eyes.
A P P E A R A N C E
It's probably not hard to imagine where the name Darkpaw came from, one only needs to look at her colouring to see. There is nothing odd, nor exceptionally different about this she-cat; and nothing too light either. In build, Darkpaw is fairly dainty and - despite her personality - is anything but intimidating. Despite this, the apprentice thrives in the heart of battle. Darkpaw is quick and agile on her paws - though not one to deal damage in grunt force - is quite the opponent. The apprentice is lean, with long legs, narrow shoulder, and a slender rib cage. Her paws are petite and her tail is possibly a little longer than average.
In appearance, there is nothing exceptionally striking about the she-cat. Darkpaw, notorious to her name, is a dark ashen colour. Though not a true black, her fur easily melts into the shadows like a pre-dawn fog. Upon her chest is the faintest of white spots, the only blemish upon her soot coloured fur.
The eyes are what stand out the most, naturally. Giving colour to the grey silhouette are her golden-amber eyes. These ever watchful orbs are the doorway to her soul. Despite having a tongue as sharp as her claws, Darkpaw's eyes betray just as much as her words. The apprentice surely isn't afraid of being expressive, and what little she chooses not to say is stated within these eyes.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
Fierce, confrontational, proud, determined, rebellious, stubborn, attentive, battle-hungry.
Fierce.
Darkpaw is extremely dedicated to her own sense of cause, whatever that may be. The she-cat will fiercely defend her opinion at all costs, and will not hesitate to translate that fierceness into physical confrontation if need be. Darkpaw is exceptionally opinionated and doesn't exactly know the concept of holding her tongue. She speaks her mind without consequence and conducts herself in a similar manner. The she-cat is impulsive and acts on her whim, often meaning that her own opinions and actions take priority over orders of authority and even the warrior code. Darkpaw can be considered fierce in just about everything she does, from friendly competition, to banter, and especially upholding Thunderclan's and her own pride. Despite the apprentice's questionable ethics, she is fiercely loyal to Thunderclan and would stop at nothing to defend it.
Confrontational.
Darkpaw's lack of empathy and tactic often lends her some pretty uncomfortable situations. Her inability to hold her tongue, and blatant disregard for the rules doesn't make friend-making an easy task. Though this is little bother for the feisty apprentice. Darkpaw is known for being exceptionally confrontational, be it with other apprentices, clan mates, and especially those outside of Thunderclan. She's always eager to make use of her claws and showcase her fighting abilities. That being said, it is almost impossible for the apprentice to back down from a challenge. She is very proud and doesn't handle well when that pride is stepped on. Her competitive nature seems to negate reason and common sense at the best of times, for Darkpaw is constantly striving for the win and impending success. Some might perceive Darkpaw as battle-hungry, as she is always striving to prove her strength as a fighter and happens to be exceptionally eager to face whatever opponent she can.
Determined.
Because of Darkpaw's stubborn attributes, she is incredibly determined and committed to the tasks she does lend herself to. The she-cat strives to be the best of the best and prove her parents proud by having raised the fiercest of warriors. That being said, Darkpaw tends to be rather intolerant of those outside of Thunderclan, be they enemy clans or loners within the territory. The apprentice is particularly attentive because of these attributes - she would hate to miss out on an opportunity to test her skills or prove her worth. Whilst Darkpaw is eager to learn and bring pride to her mentor and family, she has a knack for doing things her own way.
Rebellious.
Pride, determination, competition, and fierce qualities make for a deadly combination in this independent apprentice. The she-cat tends to have issue with authority, be they a parent, mentor, or leader - which often leads to headache for those put in charge or reigning in this beast that is Darkpaw. She is exceptionally rebellious and doesn't like taking 'no' for an answer. Darkpaw has the mentality that she is invincible - though this is far from the truth - it doesn't stop her from pushing her limits and testing her abilities. Despite being an apprentice, Darkpaw demands independence and tends to carry the ego of a warrior - why should she be treated like an apprentice when she feels she could take on the best? It is this very superiority complex that gets the apprentice into trouble more often than not and could one day lead her down a dangerous path.

H I S T O R Y
Darkpaw was born straight into the greatest clan in the forest: Thunderclan. She is of pure descent (as far as she knows), and thus carries the entitlement and pride of noble Thunderclan blood. Her father is a noble tom with the glory of his clan behind him as their deputy. Darkpaw's mother was what every mother should be: maternal and quick to action in times of need.
Darkpaw was born with two siblings, Smokepaw and Lightpaw. Smokepaw is the kind soul of the three, and her only brother. He is their mediator and voice of reason, the calm within the storm. Lightpaw, much like their father, is noble and brave. As a spit fire of an apprentice, Darkpaw likes to coax her sister into adventures by questioning that bravery, suffice to say, Darkpaw is probably the bad influence of the group.
As kit, Darkpaw was constantly reprimanded for playing to rough and aggressively. The she-cat is exceptionally competitive and thus hates losing. Into apprentice hood, this has not changed. The only difference now being that she is now being actively trained to become more lethal. Suites her! Darkpaw excels in combat, perhaps being one of the few training methods she actually puts her all into. Admittedly, Darkpaw would gladly make a competition out of just about anything, regardless of her skill level. The apprentice merely doesn't know how to turn down a challenge.
As a kit, Darkpaw thrived off adventure. Now, not much has changed. The she-cat embraces her newfound freedoms (or what she considers are freedoms, though not necessarily condoned by her mentor), and often acts on impulse or to the best of her own interest. Darkpaw has little respect for senior ranking clan mates and often bucks authority with a great passion. That being said, the she-cat has a great pride about herself. After all, she is the daughter of Thunderclan's deputy. Though Darkpaw doesn't admit it, she looks up to Blizzardclaw quite passionately - so long as he nor no one else is trying to tell her what to do.
