JaggedpawAge: 6 monthsGender: MaleRank: ApprenticeClan: WindclanShort: mossy-brown tabby tom with green eyes
Appearance:
As an overview Jaggedpaw would come off as raccoon-like in build, his large tapering tail would be the first thing that would be recognised on his brawny structure. He has large soft paws that protrude at the end of his pillar like legs, capable of running at sublime speeds with a decent amount of strength. His barrel shaped chest gives him great stamina on the field and curves smoothly below his neck.
His large almond shaped eyes would be his most intriguing feature on his heart shaped face, they seem almost glazed in the light and coloured green like the grass across Windclan territory. His eyes are bordered with white which is swept down across his chin and underbelly, feathered tufts of fur are mainly obtrusive at the tips of his ears and stomach, which fans out at his tail. White fur can also be seen inside his large bat shaped ears and dappled across his paws.
He has dark tabby markings zig-zagged across his face and body, each interval looking more sharper than the last. Hence his name, his fur looks spiky and sharp as an illusion based on his markings and seems to camouflage him well against his surroundings.
Personality:
Fast moving, energetic physically and mentally, he doesn't take long to work out conclusions and to solve problems, although sometimes he can overlook something altogether or focus on one thing and completely forget about another. He likes to work at a fast pace and to get things completed to his standards, he can forget about taking breaks sometimes and can overwork himself.
suspicious of the intuitions of other cats. It takes him a while to trust someone completely but longs to understand everyone's motives, to understand everything that goes on. Sometimes he may delve too deep into someone's privacy and will often get told that it's none of his business, although this can be an advantage at times as he is usually the first to recognize if there is something wrong with someone.
Blunt, has strong personal beliefs in what is right or wrong, sometimes he can unintentionally hurt someone's feelings because he speaks his mind, or disagree with how the leader does things. He is a stickler of the warrior code and never takes anyone off lightly if someone has overruled it. He doesn't understand about respect for ranks as he thinks that what should be said must be said, which constantly gets him into trouble.
Aloof, Apathetic as he finds it hard to sympathise for another cats feelings he finds it hard to trust anyone and prefers to remain at a distance. He doesn't like to 'water down' what he says because he doesn't believe that hiding the raw truth would help anyone. He doesn't mind anyway, as long as he has his sister to talk to then he doesn't need anyone else. Sometimes he can be very sarcastic, which may annoy some of his clan mates when they are trying to tell him something.
Organized, prefers solitude he doesn't like to get distracted when he's thinking or hunting and feels inclined to go off in his own when he's in a patrol. He has to have everything under control and at his reach, so he constantly takes time to just unravel his thoughts and know where everything is and how it got there. If there is something that he can't figure out or get on the top of, he will try his best to find out himself, it almost feels like having ants in his pelt if there is something that is unsolved or troubling him.
Capable of deeply disliking any cat that gets under his fur it doesn't take a lot for Jaggedpaw to hold a grudge on any cat, it could be something small like an annoying personality or it could be something that he doesn't agree about them with; if they have a different opinion. The thing that makes him really dislike a cat though is if they break the warrior code, or do something that is completely wrong in his eyes, he doesn't want anything to do with that kind of crowd.
Doesn't like to fight this is deeply ingrained in him as he doesn't like the thought of battles and how chaotic they are, he doesn't see the point of risking something as precious as your life for something as small as boundaries, although he may resort in fighting if it is the only option to solve what has been done wrong. He doesn't like the unpredictability of his opponent in battle, and this usually makes him weak as he takes too long to figure out what they're going to do next.

History:
"Don't worry little one, this is our territory! there is nothing to be afraid of" hushed the soft voice of Jaggedkit's mother as she beckoned him forward with her tail. His sister, seemed to be overjoyed to see the territory for the first time and couldn't refrain herself from bouncing around and squealing with excitement. The two kits remained pressed against their mother as she guided them through the large field towards a dense group of trees at the end of the sloped hill.
"are we really going to meet our father!" squeaked Jaggedkit as he stumbled clumsily across the unfamiliar terrain. "yes. He want's to meet you two" mumbled his mother as she led them down a slope. "he's waiting down by the river and I bet he's just as excited as you are!". As Jaggedkit followed his mother a low running sound could be heard, similar to the sound of rain as it hit the surface above the nursery. We must be near the river! he told himself as he shifted excitedly on each paw.
The river looked larger than he had expected, it was dark and flowed down farther than he could see, the rushing noise that it made filled his ears as he could hardly hear anything else. A dark shape seemed to move farther upstream and revealed two amber eyes, staring at them from the shadow of a bush. Jaggedkit pressed closer to his mother as the strange cat approached, becoming more visible in the moonlight. The tom had a slender build, his muscles where clearly formed against his dark pelt and revealed how strong the cat looked, but seemed improper as the tom glanced at them softly. "Jaggedkit, Harekit, this is your father" she introduced as the tom dipped his head politely towards them, "I'm Crow, I don't come from around these parts." His voice sounded hoarse and shrill, almost like the call of a crow itself.
Harekit was the first to step forward and touch noses with Crow, Jaggedkit could tell she was nervous and seemed hesitant to meet his father himself, but his mother beckoned him forwards. He took a few steps and craned his neck up to sniff the rogue, his scent seemed almost earthy compared to the familiar smell of Windclan. The tom raised his head and faced his mate, "well I'll be taking them now then" he rasped. She freezed suddenly and swept the two kits under her belly again; the air had changed. "well you didn't think that I would leave them here did you?" he spoke gravely, "it's far too dangerous for them don't you think."
His mother hissed defensively at Crow, glaring at him with blazing eyes that gave away her surprise. "they stay here! you said you only wanted to meet them!" she spat, revealing the pairs past insecurities that seemed to hide a deeper truth. Jaggedkit and his sister felt scared now, this wasn't what the meeting was supposed to be like, and he definitely didn't wan't to be taken from Windclan! "oh my dear.. you didn't think I was going to let this slip did you? they deserve to be safe, not thrown around like some weapon to solve some petty arguments" he mewed eerily, edging closer towards her and looking down at the kits, as he reached a paw towards them, she retaliated and slashed his paw with her claws. "I said no! and what you say is wrong, they will grow up to be fine warriors!" She yowled fiercely, pushing her two kittens behind her with her hind paw.
"oh.. I see" He mewed quietly and took a step back. "I am so sorry, but they don't belong here." He growled, his eyes flashed, stalking around her with his claws unsheathed, a bird shrieked above the two and they lunged at each other, a mass of flailing claws and yowls erupted as she clamped her jaws around one of Crow's legs, he thrashed about under her grip and kicked at her with his hind legs. As she let go she tried to bat his head with a paw but missed clumsily and exposed her dangerously across the edge of the chasm. She gasped and lost her footing, landing neck deep into the dark swirling water, sucking at her paws as she thrashed to keep her head up.
A dark blur jumped overhead and landed on her shoulders, pushing her head under the water with a paw as he leaned all his weight along her back, she flailed in his grip as she struggled for air but he had grasped her firmly, keeping her head under the black waves. Jaggedkit and Harekit watched horrifically as the scene unfolded before them, Jaggedkit felt stunned to the spot as he watched his mothers movements growing weaker. Harekit shrieked in terror and ran back and forth on the top of the dip, suddenly Crow lost his footing on a rock and yowled as he was swept farther downstream, their mother weakly turned her muzzle up above the water and desperately crawled upstream, dropping herself onto the bank as she lay exhausted.
Jaggedkit and Harekit ran towards the bank, tripping over several stones as they approached their mother, she lay breathing lightly along the earth until she started to cough up the water that had started to fill her lungs. Jaggedkit looked over at the river, he could only just see the amber eyes of Crow as the dark tom slipped into the darkness of the trees. How could one cat change so suddenly? he thought silently, sitting on the riverbed as he started to yowl as loud as he could. Perhaps a clan member would hear them? he told himself encouragingly as his sister caught onto the act. Worry reflected her mew as it wobbled a few times, the two kits huddled together towards the warmth of their mother as they waited for help to come.
