pictures; x, x, x
Age: twenty-four
Gender: female
Rank: warrior
Clan: shadowclan
Short Description: a gray-and-white she-cat with warm amber eyes.
Appearance:
Cloudspot's a bit on the large side, strong and sturdy; she's neither the fastest nor the most agile, and while she's not quite strong enough to be the most terrifying warrior of her clan, she can definitely hold her own in a fight. Her coat is smooth, soft, and short, though thick; she's more comfortable in leafbare than greenleaf because her fur's so warm. That said, she has hardy pads and a thick skin, at least when it comes to the weather. Her pelt is gray and white, with the gray being a dark gray with spotted tabby markings. The white mostly covers her belly, paws, and muzzle, as well as a distinctive spot on the tip of her tail. Her nose and pads are pink, and her whiskers are long, fine, and white. Her white fur remains remarkably white all the time; she takes very careful care of herself, and even after hunting the patches of her pelt are white as newly-fallen snow. In contrast, her eyes are a warm, liquid amber, tending perhaps more toward the brown end of the spectrum than the yellow. They stand out against her monochrome pelt, and make her a lot more warm and welcoming than her size and the few battle scars around the edges of her ears would at first seem to proclaim.
Personality:
Cloudspot most definitely does not fit into the stereotypical mold the other clans have of the classic mean, spiteful ShadowClan cat. She is gentle, especially with young cats and elders, less so with those she perceives to be rude, and slow to judge, preferring usually to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. She is also very laid-back, usually spending free time lounging in a nice patch of sunlight or chatting with friends, and it takes a lot to make her snap at someone with either words or jaws. In addition, she's steadfastly loyal, both to her friends and loved ones and to her clan and leader; even though she is gentle by nature, she will gladly fight for her clan if she is asked to, even to the point of severely wounding or killing another cat.
On the downside, her more negative traits include passivity - she's unlikely to intervene in any tense situation, be that a fight between friends, a tough moment with a patrol from another clan, or anything else that might come up - and laziness. She's also rather meek and submissive; if confronted, she's more likely to back down than fight for herself. The only time she really grows a backbone is if someone she loves is being insulted or walked all over. When it's her, she's less intimidating than a wet noodle.
History:
There were three kits born in ShadowClan to the warriors Reedfoot and Blackwhisker one greenleaf. These were Silentkit, Rosekit, and Cloudkit. To the knowledge of everyone else in the clan, they were a very happy, friendly litter, and it looked like they were all three going to grow up to be strong, healthy warriors to serve and protect their clan. However, there was quite a bit of teasing from Silentkit and Rosekit aimed at their sister; she bore the brunt of most jokes and pranks, and this fact often went unnoticed by the adults around her. However, it wasn't a terrible kithood; during her young life, the clans were fairly peaceful, there was plenty of food, and beyond some roughhousing and taunting from her siblings, all seemed to be going swimmingly.
The three were apprenticed at the same time, and from there things seemed to be looking quite bright indeed for Cloudpaw. She and her mentor, a wise older tom named Goldenwing, got on like a house on fire, and her siblings were finally too busy with their actual duties to spare much time for tormenting her. However, the moment that defined her apprenticeship came when the three of them were about eight moons old. It started when some warriors and one of the other apprentices, Rockpaw, found what they believed to be an abandoned badger den just past the edge of ShadowClan territory while on patrol one night. Rockpaw, good friends with Rosepaw, dared her and Silentpaw to sneak out of camp and go investigate the thing, and being a rather rash pair of apprentices, they eagerly agreed. Cloudpaw was unaware that anything had occurred, and wished her siblings goodnight without any knowledge of the challenge they were undertaking. They snuck out around midnight and never returned; the badger den, it so happened, wasn't nearly as abandoned as previously believed. Rockpaw and Cloudpaw were both devastated; Rockpaw was harshly punished, but Cloudpaw was unaware, so she went unscolded. Besides, her grief would have been punishment enough, or so the logic went. Ever since that event, she's been meek and passive, not stepping outside of her comfort zone if she can at all help it.
