Snowpaw
pictures; x x x
Age: 8 moons
Gender: Female
Rank: Apprentice
Clan: Riverclan
Short Description: Small white she-cat with blue eyes
Appearance:
Ever since birth, Snowpaw was always the runt of the family both of her sibling towering over her small frame. Her hope of a growthspurt never came. Her body structure is small and very slim, but her body is still an ideal body for swimming because of all the muscles in her short legs. Which she finds most of her free-time doing.
Snowpaw has perfect camouflage during leaf-bare when the ground is covered in blankets of Snowpaw because of her white coat. Without a speck of any other color on her long white fur and with clear blue eyes makes her an exact copy of her late mother, Snowstar, the former leader of Riverclan. Many of the older clan-mates finds themselves taking a double look over their shoulders to make sure that their eyes aren't failing on them.
Snowpaw's eye sight has always been her weakness giving her problems ever since she was a kit. Her clear blue eyes, the color of the lake's water, can only focus about a foot or two in front of her before it starts becoming blurry. Her bad vision makes both hunting and fighting more of a challenge for her than most making her have to train relying on her other senses.
Personality:
Out of her siblings, Ravenpaw and Wavepaw, Snowpaw was always the most rudest and loud mouth of the three. She got this from her father, Raven, a former rogue with temperament problems. She never thought before she talked which always got her in trouble with many which is why she was never good at making friends. No one was able to put up with her rude attitude except for her siblings. She had always had a strong bond with them finding that she couldn't trust anyone in the world, but them.
She had always believed that she would have her brother and sister by her side forever, but in a blink of an eye they were gone, and in a way so did she. She keeps to herself and only speaks to others when spoken too. She strays from conversing with others because she is afraid of becoming close to anyone else having the same end like her sibling did.
She is always afraid to go to sleep because no matter what she always has the same nightmare every night of the brutal death of her siblings. Throughout the day she is usually lost in her own thoughts making everything around her become one big blur.
History:
Snowpaw and her siblings grew up believing a lie. The mother that nursed them ever since they remember was never their true mother. The queen took them on because just before they were born, her kit was stillborn. Having extra milk the queen took them in and treated them like they were her own vowing to keep the secret of where they truly came from. They never even thought about questioning their so-called mother about their father and why none of them even looked anything like her.
Everything came crashing down on them when Ravenpaw and Snowpaw met their father out in the wild. When the pair thought they were going to have to fight the outsider, the tom simply turned away, but Snowpaw called out to him stopping him in his tracks. ”I can’t kill my kits.” He threw over his shoulder before disappearing into the bushes. That was the last time they ever saw their so called father.
Confused, the two slowly made their way back to the camp and went straight to the nursery where they finally decided to question their ‘mother’ after telling their sister what had happened. The queen had pitied them and went to fetch Snowstar, and beg her to finally tell the three the true story. The three were devastated as they listened with numb ears as Snowstar told them the truth about their true heritage.
With wanting nothing to do with the she-cat that had given them up to keep her position as leader they continued their lives together only for the bond between the sibling to grow into something strong. They found it hard to trust anyone else, but each other.
When they were still kits a battle broke out during a clan meeting in fourtrees killing their mother in the process. Even though the three felt betrayed by their own parents, sadness filled them when they heard about the death of Snowstar. They regretted the way they treated her, as if she was the plague keeping their distance from her and spoke to her as little as possible.
At 6 moons a month after Snowstar’s death, Snowpaw and her siblings turned into apprentices. Crimsonclaw, an experience warrior of Riverclan had become her mentor.
Shortly after their apprenticeship started was when another tragedy struck. Snowpaw being Snowpaw had talked her siblings into going out of camp without a warrior. They crossed the river to the other side, leaving Riverclan’s territory. They enjoyed themselves as the sun’s warm rays warmed their damp fur.
Then it happened.
A dog-fox attacked them. Snowpaw ran as well as her brother and sister from the predator. Snowpaw could feel the dog-fox’s hot breath behind her as it gained on her. At the very last second she saw her brother’s dark pelt jump over her. He clawed at the predator’s face only to be thrown off; the fox wasted no time as it jumped on top of her brother and killed him in one swift movement. Ravenpaw was gone.
”Snowpaw!” Wavepaw’s voice sounded distant to Snowpaw’s ears and before she knew it she felt teeth pull her away from the scene. ”We need to head to the river, now!” They ran side-by-side away from the thudding of the dog-fox’s paw steps as it took chase after the two. The water’s edge was just in front of them of a few more feet before they could escape. That was when Snowpaw felt it; her sister wasn’t at her side anymore.Wavepaw had tripped and in a split second she was in the jaws of the fox. A blood-curdling yowl broke out only to be cut off a second later.
Snowpaw jumped into the currents and swam across the water to Riverclan’s territory, the fox giving up chasing her. She blindly stared across the river her eyesight giving her a blurred picture, but she knew what had happened. ”Wavepaw! Ravenpaw!” She called hoping and praying for whoever was listening to her would have them both reply back. Nothing. They were gone, both of them. The first time in Snowpaw’s life, she felt empty and alone.
