Anya
The small calico she-cat sat inside the glass door looking out into the pine forest ahead of her. She tilted her head curiously and flicked her ears. She had been here for almost 6 months now and on rare occasions did she ever want to go out. It wasn't in the once famous star's character to go out and get dirty. and she had another thing holding her back. She was about ready to have kits. She knew it could be any day now.
The sound of footsteps behind her made her look up and mew at the human coming over to her. She purred softly as the soft hand stroked her head then picked her up. She loved her new Human. It was gentle and kind, always feeding her and making sure she had a nice clean bed. and if she was correct she was of the older kind of human. The calico rubbed her head under the human's chin and purred. She wouldn't give up a life like this. No more bright random flashes of light and no more being put in a cage. This was the life of a star right here.
Anya perked her head up when the human opened the door and put her down outside. She smiled to herself, glad that the human knew what she wanted. She actually had been thinking about going out before and the Human had made it happen. She mewed her thanks and padded off toward the low fence on the edge of the property. She looked up at it and balanced herself before gracefully jumping up on the railing. Once she was settled, she wrapped her speckled tail around her paws and watched as snow slowly fell to the ground. She didn't mind the snow. In fact, it made everything look magical. She was about ready to stretch out fora minute and let her legs rest when a rustling sound from the other side of the fence made her ears perk. At once she froze and started to contemplate on running back to her human or wait to see what was making the noise. She decided to wait, but the fur on her back slowly rose, mostly in worry for her unborn kits.
"Who's there?" she called out, her voice shaking slightly. She wasn't sure why she was scared, but she was. Who could stand to be out there in the wild?

She's so lucky, She's a star
But she Cries cries cries with a lonely heart
Thinking, if there's nothing
missing in my life
Then why do these tears come at night.
