Off We Go, Into the Wild Blue Yonder! {Patrol}

<sup>Robinstep quickly looked behind him to make sure the hunting patrol was following. He couldn't count on adding too much to the fresh-kill pile with this bunch, but it was a good oppurtunity to whip some cats into shape.

He stayed to the front, focusing very hard on his surroundings, ears perked. He had to set a good example; he'd look like a fool if he messed this up. He had headed the opposite direction of the Thunderclan border, and into the deepest parts of the forest, keeping his paw steps light. He moved silently along the forest floor, but unfortunately the multitude of cats behind him produced a few leaf crunching noises. Blue eyes narrowed, the tom swiveled around to check on the cats following him. Well, atleast they're keeping up.

The small tabby was built for hunting; small, agile, quiet. This would be simple. The sound of scuffling paws, far too small to be those of a cat, suddenly reached Robinstep's ears. A mouse; not spectacular, but something.</sup>

MOTHSTORM
Come and get me

Mothstorm followed Robinstep with ease, as soon as her paws hit the pine-covered forest floor her anxiety had died. It was as if she were a fish out of water, as soon as she was placed back into the water she was done flopping. Bringing her well-paced gait to a halt she strained her ears to pick up the tiniest sound of scratching. Mouse. But by the looks of it, it seemed as if Robinstep had this covered.

Turning her attention else where she was surprised to immediately pick up a different scent. Instead of a mouse it was a squirrel, something that wasn't usually on this side of the territory. Apparently the squirrel preferred oaks, and maples to their sappy pines. A small smile drifted to her muzzle before she dropped to a hunter's crouch. Watching the prey she decided she drive it away from Robinstep's mouse, so that the mouse wouldn't be disturbed. And so it wouldn't hear the squirrel's dying screech.

Paw-step by paw-step she drew closer to the critter, and at the last moment she struck. She had landed close to the squirrel's body, at once it whipped around, as if it were to set off an alarm to every other creature in the forest. Quickly she smashed it across the side of the head, delivering a killing blow. So much for my plan--at least it wasn't too loud. Snatching the squirrel she buried it next a pine for later.

Nightflower
^{I'll wait for you forever...}

Nightflower slunk along, staying close to the ground. His black fur blended in with the shadows. He noticed as the other two caught prey. He looked forward, and saw a frog. His body pressed lower before he lunged forward and pounced on it.

Boneface

The tom watched the other cats, carefully keeping his eye on them. He also listened. However he didn't hunt. His eye didn't allow him too. Plus he couldn't hear anything.[/center]

Patchclaw padded through the light covering of snow, his sister trailing behind him. The lower half of his body blended into the glistening white snow, but his upper half stuck out like a sore thumb. The same could be said for his sister, Redthorn; who at the moment was talking about hunting on the way back from boarder patrol.

Of course, Patchclaw couldn't say no to that. Helping his Clan was what he lived for. Besides, with this harsh leaf-bare it wouldn't hurt to do some hunting. Even the smallest mouse would make a difference.

Although he doubted Redthorn was doing it for the same reasons. While on the patrol, she had made a fool of herself trying to catch a mouse. The rest of the patrol had headed back to the camp while Redthorn and Patchclaw stayed back, the tom wishing he could race ahead to escape the grumblings of his sister.

Of course that was not to be, and after agreeing to hunt for a bit the two came upon another patrol, obviously out to do what they were planning on doing. Recognizing Robinstep, Mothstorm, Boneface, and Nightflower, the two siblings nodded a greeting. Patchclaw was the first to speak. "Would you all mind if we joined you hunting? Redthorn wants to regain her reputation."
