Ravenpaw's dark figure lay in a shadowy corner of camp, dozing in the shade. A half-eaten fish basked in the warm day beside him. Ravenpaw couldn't help but accidentally fall asleep. It was a warm, peaceful day. The scent of rain filled the air, and it wasn't too cloudy, nor too sunny. It felt great.

Earlier this morning he took advantage by getting up when dawn was just arising, he went out alone just to fish. The whole morning he was fishing, and brought back four or five fish this afternoon. Then he dozed off from the warmth and also being worn out from fishing.

Ah, could this day get any better?</sup>

The small calico cat was bored out of her skull. After she had come back from the patrol with snowpaw and the the others she had been drained and had dragged herself to the apprentice den to sleep. After she had woken up she had asked if there was anything to do and no one gave her anything to do. So she lazily wandered around camp, wondering who to bug.
That's when she saw the dozing black figure in the shadows. She stopped and her head slowly tilted to one side. It was Ravenpaw. She could tell by the white puff on his chest, She didn't know why but as she looked at him, for once, anger never filled her. She had never been fond of the tom since they had first trained together, and she had beat his butt. She knew it wasn't his fault, but she figured a tom could easily out beat a she-cat. Maybe he couldn't beat her now, but if he trained some more...
An idea hit her like a tornado hit a barn. She could help him! yeah it sounded a little rude, but she could help him keep up that way he wouldn't lag behind! She just had to see if he would do it. She slowly padded over to the shady spot and tilts her head before gently prodded his shoulder.
"Hey, weakling...wake up." she mewed softly. [/center]

Ravenpaw drowsily woke up from his quiet slumber, his sight blurry and dazed from the sudden awakening. Confusion bombarded his mind, along with a slight frustration at being woken up from such a dreamy state. He already worked his butt off this morning, what could anyone want from him now? It was too peaceful today to really do much.

When his sight cleared, he saw Speckledpaw towering over him. Speckledpaw? Of all cats? What could she possibly want? To trick or torture him? Slowly getting up from his limp posture, he stared at the intruder with half-closed eyes.

"Wha?"</sup>

Speckledpaw waited as the black tom slowly got his bearings and looked at her. Even though he was awake and looking at her, she couldn't help but laugh slightly at how he looked. Personally she knew she would have looked the same way, but that didn't matter at the moment. What mattered was getting Ravenpaw to where he could be a decent apprentice.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go work on those battle moves Lionstrike showed us earlier. i know you had some trouble with them..." she mewed then stopped and flatted her ears in embarrassment, "and really I'd like to get better at them too. I thought we could help each other."


She looked at the Black tom and waited. Surely he wouldn't say no. Yeah she picked at him, but it was because she had nothing else to do. That's why she did a lot of things now. She knew she had to change but she didn't know how. Maybe Ravenpaw could help her...[/center]

Ravenpaw's ears pricked up. Seriously? Was this actually happening? Did she finally choose to stop her taunting and maybe be nice to him for once...?

No.

There's no way. She must be planning something. Something...evil. Why would she help him? There had to be some kind of catch he wasn't aware of. But, nevertheless, he felt kinda happy about the whole ordeal. Finally having someone to be around and train with. It was something new. He never experienced that with someone that wasn't his sibling.

The black tom was still suspicious, though. Who knows what is on this she-cat's mind. For all he knew it could be pretty pink daisies and rainbows. "Er...I guess?" Ravenpaw finally replied, trying to hide the confused expression forming on his features. To be honest, he close to being scared of what awaited him with this apprentice.</sup>

speckledpaw waited as the tom looked at her with a look of uncertainty. What did he think she was going to do to him? try to shove him into a badger's den and then run away? Well that did sound like fun. But she wasn't going to do that. Really she felt sorry for the tom. He had a really great mom. She was the leader of the clan and a great cat. And here he was, the weakling of the group and not having a clue about any ind of training. She was going to help him. wither it killed her or not.
"Come on. We don't have all day." he mewed then got up started for the entrance shaking out her fur. She didn't know why, but she was nervous. Was it because she was going to have to teach him? Was it because she was scared it'd look like she didn't know what she was doing? No. It wasn't for those reasons. It was for a reason that even she didn't know. And as normal, the Calico she-cat shoved it to the back of her min and trotted to the entrance.[/center]
