Stargaze
I'm not shy, I'm just quiet

Stargaze quietly snuck of the warriors den, careful not to wake the slumbering figures of her two friends. She knew Riverspirit would worry if she went without her, because it was so rare for them to not be together in the morning; sleeping or awake.

But, ever since her and Eclipseclaw switched from enemies to friends, Riverspirit turned her attention more on the newcomer. She was so used to the blue-gray she-cat placing all her attention on her that it felt as if they were more distant now that she had to pay attention to two cats now.

Sighing, she continued on the path she was walking around camp, in the depths of her thoughts. Oblivious to her surroundings, she was surprised when a collision sent her toward the ground, the breath knocked out of her. Glancing up, she focused on the figure infront of her, then, eyes widened, she quickly scrambled up and nervously dipped her head.

"H-Hello, Whiteheart," Stargaze stuttered, "S-Sorry for being so careless. I didn't see you."

Whiteheart was slowly walking around the camp, trying to get used to actually being a warrior still. His old mentor, Hazelstar, had given the honor of becoming a warrior a few moons back and he was still trying to figure out what to do with himself since he wasn't made to do apprentice duties.
without realizing it White heart had stopped in the middle of the camp and was soon run over by another cat, bringing him out of his thoughts. He staggered back a little from the blow but he turned and smiled slightly at the she-cat that had hit him.
'Stargaze....wow...she looks.....' he thought, but that though was interrupted when she started apologizing.
"No, Stargaze. It's okay. I'm the one that stopepd in the middle of no where." he mewed, chuckling slightly. "Say, you wouldn't happen to know what a bored warrior would do, do you?"
He knew the question probably sounded really stupid to a slightly older warrior, but he really had no idea what to do. And Stargaze was a nice cat. She wouldn't make fun of him.

Relief washed over Stargaze at Whiteheart's reaction. Though she didn't know him too well, she was expecting more of a rude response or some kind of rage. But, she expected that of everyone, didn't she?

She was reminded so much of Riverspirit when he talked, which made her slightly warmer toward him. She still felt cautious, nevertheless, unaware of Whiteheart's intentions. I'm being too paranoid. Stargaze tried to reassure herself in her mind. I have to start trusting cats instead of hiding behind my friends all the time.

Nervously smiling she squeaked, "W-What about a l-little hunting? I-It would not only be pr-productive but it would also be fun.." Straightening up she continued a little more strongly, "I-I can hunt with you, if you want."

Whiteheart tilted his head slightly at Stargaze mentioned hunting. Why hadn't he thought of that before?! Of course any warrior could go hunting on his own now. He felt so mouse brined right now.
"Thanks, Stargaze. And i wouldn't mind mind at all if you'd join me." he mewed smiling warmly at the she-cat. He started toward the entrance, his fur brushing hers.
"Maybe we could try out near the two-leg barn. I heard as an apprentice there were a lot of mice near there." he mewed and flicked his ears slightly. "and also, maybe i can try at a falcon this time."
Of course he was sort of, SORT OF, kidding. Last time he had tried at a falcon he ended up with a broken paw and a few gashes on his shoulder. But he was willing to try again. He just hoped Stargaze didn't remember that little incident.

Stargaze gave him a small nod, feeling even more nervous at the thought of leaving camp. They would be alone, outside of her comforting environment. It made her extremely hysterical. But she shook off the feeling, determined not to let it show.

Stargaze felt herself jump in surprise as a light touch brushed her pelt, but relaxed when she was certain it was only Whiteheart's. Stop feeling so jittery! I must look like a complete idiot! Stargaze hissed in her head, feeling frustrated at herself as they continued toward the entrance.

A bubble of laughter came out of her at the thought of Whiteheart trying to catch another falcon. She remembered when he was an apprentice, coming into camp with wounds. At first she was worried, but when the rumor spread around the camp it was only a falcon. "Stupid tom," Riverspirit used to joke around. "What kind of mess did he get himself into?"

Suppressing the bit of giggles she smiled, "Manage to break the falcon's leg this time instead of your own." Stargaze felt brightened at the more confidence she was gaining. I just hope this lasts. I don't want him to get annoyed by me. Stargaze sighed, loyal that this was going to be the last lecture in her mind.

Whiteheart waited for the she-cat before chuckling at her comment about the falcon. He flicked his ears slightly feeling the heat slowly rise in his face.
'Yep, she totally remembered. Great...now i really have to do this right.' he thought and shook his head slightly.
When he got out of the camp tunnel he slowly looked around and sniffed the air. It was mixed with prey and grass, two things he loved above anything else. He didn't see why his mom couldn't name him Grasskit.
'duh, you idiot. None of you is green! he scolded himself before padding little ways to let Stargaze out.
"So while we're out hunting do we want to go check out the river? I heard From cloudpaw there's lots of fish in there." he said, chuckling slightly at Cloudpaw's last story about the irritating apprentice. He slowly stopped probably getting a funny look from stargaze before facing her.

Stargaze smiled with amusement when Whiteheart showed embarrassment in his expression. She couldn't believe someone could turn red around her. A shy, unconfident she-cat who actually should be the one blushing. It was new, and it made her feel a little less alone.

Following the white warrior out of camp, a storm of new scents flooded over her. The warm aroma of prey, the fresh scent of vegetation, and even the comforting smell of Whiteheart. It felt as if she was about to faint.
Whiteheart's suggestion made her wonder of the life of RiverClan for some reason. How could RiverClan cats stand the water like they do? Or live on so much fish? But other Clans would think the same about WindClan probably, like how we like moors so much...

Delayed on Whiteheart's answer due to thinking too deeply, she straightened up to face Whiteheart directly, sweating and feeling really warm even though the bite of cold was in the air. "E-Er...but I don't know how to f-fish..." Stargaze replied nervously, not only nervous to the fact of fishing, but also because she was so delayed on her answer because of her foolish daydreams.

Whiteheart waited patiently for Stargaze's answer. He never liked it when cat's pushed him fora answer so he never pushed anyone else. When the she-cat finally said something he chuckled slightly at her words.
"I don't either really. But i just think it would be a fun thing to try." he mewed the chuckle still in his voice.
He turned and started toward the two-leg barn and sniffed slightly for prey on the way. Once they were a good ways away form the camp, White heart turned to stargaze.
"You want to race? I have the random urge to feel like a kit again." he said joking and flicking his ears slightly against the cool wind. Leaf-bare was defiantly coming that was for sure. He just hoped the clan was ready.

Stargaze wasn't very confident in the fishing idea. Not only was she scared of water, but she knew she would do very poorly at it. She was meant to hunt rabbits, not fish. But she didn't object, worried that Whiteheart might reject her in some way or feel mad.

She didn't want to start conflict or an arguement, also. So she kept her mouth shut, but her worry just kept piling up. A race? Since she had a small, slim figure, she was particularly fast, but Whiteheart also seemed agile, and could easily outrun her. She wanted to please Whiteheart and not risk tension, so she went along with that idea, also.

"I-I'd be happy t-to race with you. B-But I might not be very good c-competition...."

Whiteheart smiled and gently pushed his head against Stargaze's head. "I don't need any competition." he mewed softly. "I just want to run...my legs are stiff."
He purred slightly at the she-cat's nervousness hoping to make her feel better before starting off at a steady pace. He hadn't known Stargaze really well, but as an apprentice she didn't mind watching her.
He remembered the time she had became a warrior and he had been one of the first ones to start chanting her name. He didn't know why, but he just did. She deserved it after all. She had worked really hard. He also noticed recently that her friends seemed to be getting distant. Well maybe it was just him. He didn't want to bring it up now, but maybe he would later.
As they got out into the open Whiteheart held up his tail to stop Stargaze as a rabbit caught his eyes. He slowly lowered himself and crept across the grass. The rabbit lifted it's head and took off with Whiteheart right on his tail. When the rabbit slid into it's hole Whiteheart skidded to a stop and stared at the rabbit hole.
"Mouse-dung." he muttered flicking his tail with irritation.

Stargaze relaxed when he spoke soft words of reassurance. She couldn't think of anything better. A long run side by side with the cat her trust was turning towards to. She waited for Whiteheart to start running, and soon she matched his pace. She couldn't remember the last time she ran just for fun.

Stargaze skidded to a stop when Whiteheart tensed up, a signal of his tail worrying her. But her worry faded when she figured out his purpose for stopping. She watched intensely, wondering how good of hunter he was. But her thoughts of admiration was dismissed when he missed his targeted prey.

"If you can't even catch a rabbit, your going to do very poorly at catching fish," Stargaze giggled, amusement flickering in her dark blue eyes.
