The wind breezed through the pelt of Shrewfur a windclan warrior.She loved the wind,and the pleasures it brings.The scents of twolegs food like those round meat circles made of cows.Scents of prey made her smile,usually.But today,shrewfur was annoyed by it.She had lost yet another chance to mentor,a job she wished to have since kit hood.She had just got back from a rather unsuccesful hunt with her patrol.She decided to sleep,but when she went to the den to lay down,she just stared at the ground for awhile.She went to get somthing to eat from the slowly diminishing pile.Her gaze shifted from the dead prey to Suneyes,who was coming traveling in her direction."Hey suneyes!" she called

The deputy of WindClan was returning from dropping Cloudpaw off at the nursary. Her small, sleek frame made her appearance that of a young apprentice, but the fire in her eyes and the way she held her self showed the fully seasoned warrior.

Suneyes was startled from her thoughts of the three kits and apprentice she left behind when she heard her name. Lifting her head up, the queen spotted a fellow warrior, Shrewfur. Turning to the left, Suneyes padded over to sit beside the warrior. "Greetings, Shrewfur, I hope everything is going well."

"I am well.Just a little tired from todays hunting patrol.I think prey is going to get scarce real soon,with leaf-bare on the way" She hoped they would have it easy this year."How about you?" she asked.

Suneyes chuckled "Well, with regular warrior duties and deputy duties it is a little chaotic. But it's going well." Look up at the sky Suneyes sighed "Let's hope it won't be a harsh leaf-bare."

Standing up and streatching, the queen took a small mouse from the fresh-kill pile. Suddenly she remembered something she had seen on the ThunderClan boarder. "Hey Shrewfur, have you noticed something strange on the ThunderClan boarder? I've seen these orange marks on the trees."

"Actually,yes I have been.Just yesterday,I saw few orange cris-crosses on some trees.When I went to check it out,the whole place had a faint twoleg scent.It was reasonably fresh.........Crazy things,those twolegs are."She replied.Twoleg activity was definitley up.

The deputy nodded "Twolegs are strange with their ways. But anyway, it is ThunderClan's problem, not ours. Unless they start crossing over into our territory there is no reason to be worried." But deep inside, the she-cat was worried. After all, Suneyes' brother was in ThunderClan. Well, half-brother. But he was still her brother.

"There were a few on our territory,but only just beyond the borderline." She looked at the pile of prey."We are starting to get low on prey.Do you want to go hunting and replenish it a bit?" She asked, half wanting for something to do,half because it needed to be done.

Suneyes nodded, she had also noticed some twolegs on the WindClan side of the boarder. But it was so close to the ThunderClan side it was nothing worth worrying about.

Coming back to earth, Suneyes turned and looked at Shrewfur. "Sure, Shrewfur. As long as you aren't to tired." she kidded as she started to lead the way out of the camp. "I'll even be nice and let you lead it!"

"Yay!"She said sarcasticly.There was not a chance in the world that would happen.She trotted to catch up with suneyes. As they walked,she saw what considered the most beautiful sight caught her eye.The moorland.She stopped to take it all in,like always.She felt something hit her side.She was knocked to the ground.

Suneyes stepped out of the brambles that protected the place she had come to call home. The moorland had always been her home, she had spent most of her childhood on the boarders of it and the horseplace.

The queen had turned to ask where Shrewfur would like to go when she saw something hit the side of the warrior. "Hey, what was that?"

"I know what it was.Its that eagle.I've been trying to take it down for ages.I could never do it." An idea popped into her head.Suneyes most likely had some experience in taking down aerial prey."Wha'dd'ya say.Wanna help me get it?''
