A small black figure padded out of Thunderclan’s narrow entrance, her shoulder fur bristled in rage. All she ever wanted to do was to be trained and to become a warrior, but she knew she wouldn’t be able to become a warrior for a long time. By the rate her training was going the younger apprentices knew more than she did. In fact the only training she had done was explore Thunderclan’s territory.

Ever since the leader fell ill she hadn’t been able to go out at all, Riverstar didn’t appoint her a new mentor or have any of the other warriors train her while she was absent. For days Lunarpaw watched as her clanmates walked out of the clearing and into the woods with their mentors and coming back with more and more information.

Today Lunarpaw isn’t going to sit there and watch today she was going to teach herself how to hunt. With a smile on her face she padded along the forest floor toward the Windclan territory, she remembered Riverstar saying that they have the scent of rabbit and wind. She scented the rabbit, but not the other.

Lunarpaw stopped in mid step as she spotted a tiny creature under a oak tree. Smiling she slowly lowered herself to the ground, the way the other’s had done in the clearing, but her first step made to much noise and scared the precious prey.

Sitting up with empty paws she growled under her breathe, Great just great.

The Hunter

He was out hunting, not the normal hunting for prey, but for she-cats. When he did this The Hunter disguised his smell. He smelled of crowfood and dirt. His coat was matted close to his body and he didn't look like a healthy cat. His eyes glowed with a hunger. Then the scent of a she-cat came to him. Ears pricked up and he headed in that direction. He walked up to her, watching her.

"Don't run, little one." He said, his voice a rasp.

With a deep sigh Lunarpaw slowly turned toward the Windclan, but realization hit her. Another cat was neat, and before she knew it he was standing in front of her murmuring to her.

With a hiss Lunarpaw laid back her ears, and glared at the tom in front of her, by his look and smell she knew he wasn’t a clan cat. Fear went through her whole body just looking at him,
” Get off of Thunderclan territory or I will…” Lunarpaw cut short for she was lost of words.

"You will what?" He chuckled. "You will nothing." he grinned at her, walking around her, tail flicking. He sniffed at her, licking her side in a sick manner. "You are a pretty little thing. A very pretty little thing." He laughed and placed his chin on her shoulderblades, then bit down on her scruff to control her.

Baring her teeth she lashed out at the tom as he licked her, Disguising! Was all Lunarpaw had time to think about before the tom grabbed onto her scruff. Lunarpaw lost her legging as the tom pushed her down toward the soft earth beneath her.
”Let go you mangy flea bag!” She screeched trying to get her footing back, but to no prevail.

The Hunter grinned and pushed her further into the earth.

---fade to black---

He stepped back, looking at her, he left her bleeding, bruised and traumuatised. Then he leaned down and whispered in her ear. "I will always stalk your dreams little one, and when you look at your kits... you will see me. How can you love them then?"

Laughing he turned and left her there.

Lunarpaw whimpered as the tom lowered his muzzle to her laid back ears. She pushed her face down toward the earth until she felt the weight fade from on top of her and his paw steps faded into the woods.

Her whole body shook with freight as she slowly lifted her head off the soft cold ground. Her eyes stretched wide and filled with fear. A loud cawing sound came from above, and without hesitation she shot up from her spot and ran blindly through the woods.

Hot tears streamed down her face as she barely dodged the trees that stood in her way. She could feel her lower body screaming in pain as she ran, but all she knew was that she had to run. Anywhere would be safe except here.
