A small black-and-white figure stepped out of the dark den that was called, the warriors den and into the bright clearing where the sun was shining. Slowly scanning the clearing his eyes landed on the apprentice den.

He was the new mentor for his sister’s apprentice, Patchpaw. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath as he remembered him and his siblings when they were kits. Shadowtail to was with them watching them as his sisters went off together and him and his brother sat there and watch all of them play. Why did they have to die?

Opening his eyes, he padded toward the small den and poked his head in, “Patchpaw.” Nightflare knew he should just keep it short and sweet rather than wasting his breath since the young tom should know what they are about to do.

Patchpaw awoke at the sound of his name. Slugishly moving, he sood up and made his way slowly toward the den entrance. He tried to resist the sun for it was so bright and he was accostumed to the darkeness of the home.

"What...?" ansewering sadly he met his gaze to his new mentor, Nightflare.

Nightflare gaze the young toms,
“We are going for a training session, since I do believe is what… Seabird was teaching you.” He murmured turning around and making his way toward the entrance of the camp.

With one more glance over his shoulder, making sure that Patchpaw was following he disappeared. He ignored the thorns and brambles that protected the camp, without out even flinching when they poked at his fur.

After a few steppes he was free from the tunnel and into the opening. The sun shone brightly and the breeze was just perfect, not to ruff that it would ruffle your fur.

Nightflare continued forward as he made his way for the small clearing that the other warriors would bring to practice with their apprentice’s so Nightflare had a different idea. Taking a sharp turn he headed away from the training hollow and up toward the Shadowclan territory. We should just practice by ourselves today. He thought to himself as he came up to a small clearing that just had small clover and purple flowers covering the ground. Perfect!

Padding toward the other side he turned abruptly and sat down,
“Show me what Seabird had taught you so far on you attacks.” He meowed waiting for the tom’s first movement.

Patchpaw sighed and crouched low into the hunting position. Slowly he stalked across the clearing demonstrating his nearly perfect hunting stance. A leaf blew across before him and he acted as if it were a mouse. Turning after it he waited, lifted his haunches and pounced. The leaf was crushed beneath his unsheath paws. Standing up once more he turned to face Nightflare.
"We were also working on our fighting moves..." looking down he remembered as if Seabird were still there. " She thought I was going to be a threating opponent someday."
Comeing back to his senses he looked up to Nightflare. After a moment he quickly padded forward to meet her.
"We could maybe work on attacks then..." he added hesitantly.
