Never interrupt your enemy when they are making a mistake
It was a fine spring morning, rain falling in a light mist, wetting Sabertooth's powerful body. He sighed, and lay down, looking up at the sky. Then he sighed, he had asked his apprentice to meet him at this time. However she was late.

Sabertooth sat up tall, his tail curled around his paws. The massive tom was waiting for his apprentice, and she was late for her training. Finally giving up on waiting the large male yowled her name loudly. "Silentpaw!"
He stood and began to pace, waiting for his apprentice. His ears were flattened against his head. What was she doing? His tail lashed back and forth as he paced.

Silentpaw felt started by a sudden morning call. Drowsily lifting his head up, he slowly blinked, adjusting to the bright light welcoming his arrival from the dreamworld. Who the hell is calling me this early...? The gray tabby tom growled in his head. After a moment of processing he familiarized the voice.

Sabertooth!

That's right, it was time to train today! Heaving himself up, he ignored his body's protesting about resting more and clumsily raced out of the apprentice den, skidding to a stop in front of the large tom. "Eh...sorry...Silentpaw reporting for training," the apprentice meowed reluctantly, grunting in displeasure.}

The large tom seemed to be still growing, already he was bigger than most of his clanmates and was still growing. Some said that his mother was a kittypet. However no one knew of a kittypet growing so big. He looked down at the little cat, narrowing his brilliant yellow eyes. "We will work on hunting patrol, then border patrol." He mewed. "Then you may have a rest. After you will train, then gather moss for the elders, Smallwhisker is getting cranky." He told the tom the plan for the day.

The huge tom stood up and began to walk out of camp, pausing he looked over his shoulder. "Don't worry kid, I won't expect you to catch the same sort of prey I do. I just happen to be a little bigger than most cats my age." He paused. "However I do expect you to keep up. A warrior cannot become sloppy. If you become sloppy some fox will kill you one day." He looked away. "And I won't always be around to protect you." He added. "Move out." his voice became sharp again as he strode out of the camp.
