CINDERHEART
The Storyteller.
Cinderheart smiled as she also settled down before beginning her story. It was one she had heard as a kit and loved. Of course, she loved all of the stories but you have t have a favorite favorite, don't you?
It only took a couple of moments for the she-cat to get settled and then she was beginning her story...
"Once, a long long time ago, back when the clans where still living in the forest, a she-cat gave birth to three kits. The she-cat was a loner, and besides her kits was all alone. She lived nearby ShadowClan territory and everyday was a nightmare to her, thinking a patrol would come by and chase off her and her newborn kits.
But a patrol didn't come for 4 moons and the she-cat started to relax. But one day, while she was out hunting, she crossed over into ShadowClan territory on accident. A patrol caught her and the deputy was there. But when the loner said her kits had died, the patrol let her go.
The loner raced back to her make-shift den to her three kits, alive and as healthy as they could be under the conditions they were in. It wasn't but a few days later, after the kits had gone off to play, that the deputy of ShadowClan came up to the loner.
The deputy was Russetfur, and the loner was Sasha. Russetfur didn't chase Sasha away, but gave her a warning to get away from ShadowClan as soon as possible. She knew that if the clan learned about the kits and who their father was, it would be the end to Sasha's family.
One day the three kits, Tadpole Hawk and Moth, went exploring without their mother. They wandered right into the twoleg place and ran into one of the dreaded BloodClan cats. They raced away, and took shelter in an abandoned twoleg next.
Meanwhile, their mother Sasha was looking frantically for them and she was lead to the twoleg place. She also came across the BloodClan cats and thanks to her forest scent, found out which way her kits had gone.
Back at the twoleg nest, the kits where shivering and cold, wondering how to get out. The eldest, Tadpole, had them get near the window when something in the nest started to growl. It wasn't but seconds later it exploded and filled the nest with water.
Sasha got to the nest just in time, and thanks to help from Tadpole got Hawk and Moth out. But it was too later for Tadpole, who lost his energy and drowned.
The heart broken mother took her two kits and went back to her nest, a few days later she and the two kits left."
