Catch Your Wave

In the middle of the night

I chased you round in memories
Through the breeze and the trees and you tease me

Crimsonclaw sped off, his tail streamed behind, he was just a blur of crimson colored fur. The rain hardly bothered him, in fact he kind of enjoyed the soft sprinkling of water. But then again he was a Riverclan cat, and most Riverclan cat's found the idea of water relaxing.

Slowing down he waited for his apprentice, through all the training he did with the she-cat, he swore he never had an apprentice quite like her. Turning around he waited for the she-cat, a small smirk upon his face.

Through all of the fights they've went through, she was the she-cat that made him smile, although he'd never admit it. She was the one made his fur curl in such an odd way. Shaking his head he had to clear these thoughts, he was supposed to be still mad at her for when she made him angrier then a badger.

But for some reason he wasn't mad at her so instead he waited, and Crimsonclaw although he'd never admit, believed this was the she-cat that made him smile again. Maybe from now on he could be the tom he once was...? Maybe--just maybe.

No. That tom wasn't me, and it never will be again. I'll just remain Grumpy 'ole Crimsonclaw forever. So with those thoughts his smirk died away, and was replaced with his usual scowl. All thoughts of Sorrelpaw vanished and he returned to the unhappy cat he always was, and every feelings was pushed aside.

He was Crimsonclaw, the tom who's life was ruined from birth. The tom who was never meant to be happy, the tom who was nothing but a mistake.

<sup>Sorrelpaw raced after Crimsonclaw with all her speed intact, a confused expression on her face. Why is he going so fast? Sorrelpaw thought with a snort, only to slide at a hault. Taking advantage of it she sped infront of him again, grinning.

"What are going to be doing, Crimsonclaw?" she asked again, hopping from one foot to another in sheer excitement. She had an erge to tackle him and pin him to the ground, forcing him to spit it out. But she knew even though she had grown stronger and bigger, it wasn't enough to bring him down.

Instead, she put on a pout, flopping down and making a 'hmph'. "Tell."</sup>

The words, 'tell' echoed amongst his ears, smirking he slid forward. At first his movements were stretched out--long--fluid, but then he shot forward, his paws thudding across muddy terrain.

As quick as lightning he had the petite she-cat pinned to the ground, bending close to her ear he muttered,
"Battle training."

Blinking he raised his muzzle and stayed put, he wanted her to figure out a way to get out from underneath him and pin him. Of course Crimsonclaw wouldn't make it easier for her, nor shall he make it anything but hard. Smirking he continued to gaze down into her features waiting for any move.

[ Tell me if I'm playing her wrong xD ]

Sorrelpaw growled, then launched her back legs into Crimsonclaw's stomach, desprate to get him off. Then with a smirk an idea came to her. Curling her back so her back legs moved closer to her face, she flung her legs up, kicking Crimsonclaw's muzzle upward and giving him a distraction. With that taken care of she slid out from under the tom's weight, flinging herself at him again except with her body instead of her legs.

<sup>Crimsonclaw instantly rolled out of the way, his fox colored fur was in a blanket of dust. Standing off he gave himself a quick shake before giving her a smirk of his own.

"Got to do better then that."

Racing forward he lunged at her throat, his teeth inches from the she-cat's multi-colored flesh. But at the right moment he snapped back, but this is was what he was planning. The idea was the he had distracted her--as she had distracted him earlier. Only instead of wriggling free of his grasp, the tom was sending her to the ah-so-welcoming ground

His paws reached out expertly, they grabbed the back of her petite paws, sending the she-cat face first into the dusty forest floor. Placing his paws firmly on her shoulder he muttered darkly in her ear,

"What's next, dearest apprentice?"</sup>
