Snow in the rain

Snowflower stood in the rain. The white she-cat flicked her tail and bowed her head. For a while she and Firestep had been mates. However she still haden't become pregnant. The she-cat shrugged a little and paced back and forth, the rain soaked her coat, and her bones showed through her skin. Maybe she hadn't conceived because of the lack of prey. Even the fish were hard to reach. She wrinkled her nose, she was very close to going and stealing prey from the barn cats. Those two-leg loving softies didn't deserve anything. She was even thinking of stooping to raiding the refuse of the two-legs... She was that hungry.

"You look half starved." Fawnstep remarked quietly as she approached the white-coated she-cat, she herself was scrawnier then before, but Snowflower seemed to be in a much worse condition. The little multi-colored she-cat never really had a chance to talk to Snowflower, not about a specific thing. No, Fanwstep has never indeed said a word to this cat.

Blinking she sat down, the rain showered her back, but she was used to the dreadful pouring by now. Plus she was Riverclan wasn't she? Water was something natural to her, but Snowflower didn't seem all that comfortable. Perhaps the rain bugged her, she didn't necessarily look Riverclan in the slightest.

Turning her leaf-green gaze to the white cat she meowed,
"You weren't born here were you?" She was curious, plus Fawnstep was born many moons after Snowflower, so it was impossible to know her past without asking. "I-I mean I kn-know your Riverclan and I'm n-not doubting your lo-loyalty-" there she went again, stumbling like an idiot. Taking a slow breath she finally continued,

"Your just really pretty and I've never seen a cat with your body structure before."

ooc:Naww Fawnstep doesn't have a crush. Don't worry! B) She's just nervous talking to strangers xD

Snowflower looked over her shoulder.

"Oh hi Fawnstep." she said, flicking her large ears back. She looked out into the rain.
"I don't know, the older cats in the clan. They act like I'm an outsider. And I know I don't look Riverclan, but the only thing I've known is Riverclan. The only place I've been is here. Maybe you should go ask the elders. As far as I know, I'm a Riverclan cat, even if I don't look it."
The lean cat wrinkled her pink nose, her big blue eyes turned to gaze at Fawnstep.
"I've hear stories about a cat with white paws and points wandering Windclan terra, who as similar build to mine. But those are likely just stories."

Fawnstep blinked, so she herself doesn't know. Tail drooping she shyly meowed,
"Sor-sorry I didn't know, It must be horrible not knowing if you belong." Sighing she gazed out across the clan, the rain tickled her spine. Her blue gaze seemed to be locked upon something that didn't exist. She remembered when she was little that nobody liked her, everybody thought she was weird. But Fawnstep didn't blame them, she was weird.

"Ever since I was little, I had horrible dreams of death and a bunch of other things that were pretty scary." Smiling she continued, "And I used to always run to my mother crying about some unknown thing. I was so scared of everything." Turning to look at Snowflower she meowed,

"Maybe you could go check around Windclan to see if there is a cat that is similar to you. I don't think Snowstar will mind, she's very kind." Even though she abandoned her clan for her own love-interests and almost got her clan mates killed for it. Shaking her head she had to clear these thoughts, she shouldn't hold grudges against Snowstar.

"Go sneaking about Windclan territory? Are you mousebrained?" Snowflower said, aghast. She sat down wrapping her tail around her feet.
"I don't think I had a mother, I mean there was a she-cat who nursed me, but she didn't care for me. She never talked about where I came from. Maybe my mother died?" She shrugged. "I never really talk about it."

"Well I would do anything anything to discover who I am, even if it's twisting the rules." Fawnstep meowed, her pale green eyes blinked with sympathy. "For all you know, perhaps that unknown cat is a sibling or relative of yours?"

Sitting down the little she-cat of only nine moons offered a small smile,
"I lost my mother as well, it felt horrible. I couldn't save her form green-cough, but at least she's happy in starclan with Father." Her words were quiet, which was something that came regularly from the petite kit.

"I hope you do find out about your past, but at least your future is looking bright. You have a loving mate, your one of the best warriors in the clan--" pausing she closed her eyes,

"The path that Starclan has woven for you will be tough and enduring, but in the end it'll be worth it."

"Mmmmm?" the lean she-cat turned around, flicking her ears back.
"What's that about?" She asked the medicine cat.
The white she-cat sighed and looked to the sky, then she looked at her paws and sighed.

<sup>Fawnstep shook her head, I don't know what came over me, it was like I wasn't the one who was speaking.
"Er--I don't know. I'm sorry I have weird flashed all of the time." she meowed quietly. Blinking she meowed,

"So how's um--er..How's Firestep?" she meowed nervously, her white paws shuffling shyly in the dirt.

"I mean all I know is that he lost his mother, Thymeleaf, at a young age and it affected him greatly, not to mention pretty much every cat despises him." Smiling she continued, "I'm sure his relationship with you has opened him up more--"

Blinking she conveniently remembered the time when she heard some interesting bits of conversation from her den, that happened to be of Firestep bragging and boasting about his er--achievements.

"--er, at least he's talking to other now, right?"</sup>

"He's good." Snowflower said with a smile.
"Yeah, he can be a bit of a butt at times. But I love him." She laughed. "And he is talking to others... if you call boasting talking."
