Tigerheart smiled as he followed a few of his clanmates into the camp. Scanning around the clearing it looked like all the cats that fought in the battle had made it from Windclan. We padded off to one side and sat down to lick off some blood that he got from attacking a few rouges, but before he could start a familiar brown tabby figure padded up to him. Golden eyes looked up at him asking him if he wanted to go on patrol with her at sun-high.

Tigerheart did a half smile and dipped his head,
“Yeah of course Suneyes, meet you at the entrance at sun-high.” He meowed licking his front paw and stroke it above his ear getting a place that had some blood on it.</sup>

*Frostbite*
<sup>I’m too old for this.

Frostbite followed right behind his old friend and leader into the camp. He side stepped to get out of her way when she had turned around and looked to guard the camp. Frostbite was thinking about volunteering to guard, but it looked like Hazelstar wanted to do it tonight. Frostbite’s ear perked as he heard the voice of the new deputy called him name. He turned around to see the brown tabby she-cat standing by the former rouge Tigerheart; he nodded and quickly padded forward.

Once he got there he respectful dipped his head,
“Yes Suneyes.” He meowed deeply.</sup>

HAZELSTAR
I've been broken more than once.

Hazelstar smiled once more towards the apprentice, her chocolate brown fur glistened in the moonlight while the cool air cleansed her skin. Bringing her long-thin tail across her paws she spoke her voice filled with wisdom,

"It's up to you which path you want to take Cloudpaw. If you feel your heart's calling you towards being a Medicine Cat then follow that voice." pausing she gave the tom a half-smile before murmuring,

"No matter how strange that voice is, your heart's usually always right." Turning her honey-colored gaze off the small apprentice she found it gliding over to Heatherflower as she spoke. The young-beautful she-cat was talking to Cloudpaw, but Hazelstar took heed of the tortoiseshell's greeting and responded,

"Good-evening Heatherflower--" pausing she scanned over her clan-mates they had been lucky not to have lost any lives in this battle,
"How is everyone? I'm sure no one's injured badly I hope?" Windclan would have to remain strong in this time of peace. Even though it was considered a time a peace, normal clan-life will go on. Riverclan might get desperate with the lost of their leader, and prey-stealing might occur.

Whisking her gaze over her clan-mates and back to the gentle moor grass she was able to conclude that this was a sign from Starclan that everything will be well once again. Clan-life will definitely go on.

"Great." Suneyes meowed, a smile on her face "I'll meet you there." turning to Frostbite she asked "I was wondering if you would take a couple other cats and go out on a hunting patrol in the morning."


HEATHERFLOWER
Sweet as a flower.
Heatherflower caught the last traces of the conversation. Cloudpaw is considering becoming my apprentice? she thought, amazed. Would I be able to handle it? she wondered, but replied to Hazelstar "It doesn't seem like there are any horrible injuries. We were lucky not to have lost any cat." she meowed.</sup>

“Sure I’ll love to take a hunting patrol, but who do you want me to bring with?” He asked glancing around the clearing wanting to tell the cat who would be coming with him to give them time to rest.</sup>

cloudpaw nodded slightly at the leader. how can i follow my heart when i don't know what it's trying to tell me. he thought sighing softly. He turned as heatherflower walked up.
"Oh no. i understand. I was just talking to hazelstar." he said smiling slightly. He could tell Heatherflower knew what they were talking about by the look in her eyes. He scuffed his paw against the ground for a moment. "Well I'm going to make sure no one needs anything then I'll look at my scratches. I don't think I'll need anything but just to check." he said. He wanted to think about what Hazelstar had said. He wanted to think about the vision. Heck, he wanted to think about a lot of things! As he thought that snowkit's face popped back into his eye sight again. He closed his eyes and pushed the image away.
No....i'm not going to that....she's a Riverclan cat....and a kit at that. he thought. And if i really want to be medicine cat then i can't have a mate.
Even as he thought that something in his seemed to twist. He quickly walked away from hazelstar and heatherflower going anywhere so he could be alone. He finally found a spot the was empty. He sat down and started licking the fur on his side. His inside were knotting up again. If hazelstar was right, his heart was telling him he needed to quit thinking about Snowkit.

Suneyes thought for a moment before replying to Frostbite "Jayriver..." seeing Cloudpaw out of the corner of her eye she added "And you can take Cloudpaw too. He looks a little down and a bit of hunting could cheer him up." She nodded her head, pleased with her decision as she waited to see what Frostbite would say.

Cloudpaw laid down and slowly started to clean himself. He closed his eyes, going in a steady rhythm.
Medicine cat? Could i really be a medicine cat? he thought as he paused for a moment. I had the visions....but again, Bramblestar and the other chosen ones had them too....Like Crowfeather.
He stopped laying his head down. Why hadn't his mom made this any easier for him? He slowly closed his eyes again trying to focus on what his mother had said.
The snow and cloud are always together.
He let out a sigh. This was defiantly going to be hard.

Frostbite listened intently on who the she-cat had chosen to go with him on patrol. Nodding he glanced at the apprentice den and thought about his apprentice, he hadn’t had enough time training the young black tom lately. Turning back around he asked the pretty brown she-cat,
“Is Thornpaw needed for anything else? If not I could take him with us.” He meowed seeing the young calico tom and light gray tom not far from where Frostbite was now. Even though he hadn’t talked to the two toms he could get to know them better during the patrol, to Frostbite they both look like promising warriors, and maybe even future leaders.</sup>

Suneyes shook her head. "No, Thornpaw is not needed for anything. Feel free to take him with you." Suneyes nodded in good bye then walked over to the warriors den to get what sleep her aching body would allow her, which wasn't much since she tossed and turned most of the night trying to get comfortable with her throbbing muscles.

Cloudpaw sighed and slowly opened his eyes. He really needed something to do. This was bugging the crap out of him. He slowly got up stretching, the scratches on his side burning slightly. He had heard Suneyes telling Frostbite he was to go on the patrol in the morning.
That'll be nice. I could possibly think then. he thought, slowly blinking. But he still needed to do something now. He slowly looked around knowing he needed to tell someone he was going to the training area in case they needed him. He saw Heatherflower and slowly padded over to her.
"Heatherflower, I'm going to the training field." he mewed stopping in front of her.

HEATHERFLOWER

Heatherflower was sitting near her den counting the herbs she had left over. I'll need to get more burdock, marigold, some poppy seeds... I'm good on yarrow... Heatherflower had been so deep in thought she hadn't seen Cloudpaw approach. When he spoke she jumpd up. "Oh! you scared me. And I think that is fine. You might want to take another cat with you though. There could be rouges about."

cloudpaw murmured a very soft "sorry" when he saw her jump. He was about to nod and walk off but he stopped looking at the herbs in her den.
"you need me to go get some Marigold?" he asked, before stopping. How did he know what that was?! Ugh! this was getting really frustrating! He shook his head sighing and sitting down. He looked at Heatherflower but didn't wait for an answer.
"Actually...do you want me to go with you and help you get some herbs. I don't have anything else to do, and helping you seems to be the best thing the clan needs." he replied.

HEATHERFLOWER

Heatherflower gave a small smile. Walking forward she put her tail on the apprentice's shoulder. "StarClan works in mysterious ways, you know. That prophecy will make sence when the time is right." Heatherflower stood up and then answered his question "Sure, I'd love some help gathering herbs."

Cloudpaw nodded and stood up as well. "I don't know why....but i know the names of herbs but i don't know what their used for." he replied slowly heading toward the entrance. "I mean some of them i remember from when i was a kit and the other cats had to use them but that was it."
He flicked his tail slightly and started thinking. Maybe this is what Starclan wanted.

HEATHERFLOWER

Heatherflower smiled. "Sometimes there are cats who have a gift for naming herbs. The marigold leaves and flower heads can be eaten to relieve a chil whil the leaves and petals are chewed and placed on a wound so it won't get infected." Heatheflower flicked her tail for Cloudpaw to come over. "Let me show you what they smell and look like so you know what to look for." she went over to the small piles of herbs she had been looking at. "This is burdock, while this is marigold and these are poppy seeds." she meowed as she pointed to each pile.
