Wow This is fun....

<sup>Meadowkit waited patently for her turn as she took in each part of her sibling’s story. When it was her turned she looked down at her white paws trying to think of a good idea to pop into her mind. Twitching her whiskers she looked up and cleared her throat,
“And when that cat came, it jumped onto the stick, but the stick jumped out from underneath the cat.” Meadowkit ended her turn, but instead of letting her brother go again she turned to her mother and cocked her head to one side,
“Mother do you want to play with us?”

^{"I will play if you want me too." Moon answered Meadowkit's question. Thinking for a moment, she put in her few sentences. "'Why did you jump on me' the stick asked. The cat replied 'I was told you want to eat a cat. I thought you wanted to eat me.' the stick laughed 'No, I gave up on eating a cat.'" Moon turned to her son, "Would you like to finish the story, Razorkit?"}

<sup>Razorkit twitched his whiskers in thought, thinking of a good, solid ending to this weird story. "Hmm..." he pondered, licking his lips. "All right...I'll give it a shot..."

Sighing, he hoped this was good enough. "The cat licked his lips, looking at the stick first with suspicion, then a certain need. 'What?' the stick asked, eying the cat in question. The cat suddenly pounced on the stick, eating it. 'So that's what sticks taste like...'"

Razorkit ended it there. If he went on he'd probably have the story make even less sense than it already had. "Sorry. I was hungry..."</sup>

<sup>Birdkit was on the ground laughing. "Good one, Razorkit." she laughed out.

Moon chuckled. "Such an interesting ending, Razorkit." Moon started to get up "Shall I go get us a mouse to share then? I'm getting hungry too."

<sup>Razorkit shrugged. "I tried." he meowed lazily, then licked his lips at the sound of mouse. But he felt his stomach get sick at the sound of it. It seemed every piece of prey was soggy and wet. It was hard to enjoy a good piece of meat anymore. The rain was getting on his last nerve.

He couldn't ignore his hunger, though. No matter how bad sounding damp mouse sounded. So without any further hesitation he agreed with a nod. "Sounds good. I can fetch it...I need to stretch my legs anyway." he volunteered, needing to get away from the nursery. Though he'd be more happier going outside to look at the clouds than have to face the darkness and rain.

Without waiting for a reply, he sped out of the nursery, hoping he wouldn't get a lecture about him leaving the nursery without direct permission. Especially in this weather. But right now hunger was guiding his steps, leading him to the fresh-kill pile not too far away. When he got near he saw Stormsong, the large gray old tabby who he knew as his father.

It seemed he was looking out into the sky, his still body seeming to welcome the rain as it dripped down his thick pelt. Razorkit always found this strange that Stormsong loved rain so much, while he himself hated it. He enjoyed the clear weather. Especially watching the white puffs of clouds drift by.

Walking up to him, he picked up a mouse in his jaws and looked up at the towering tom. "Yo. Enjoying the rain?" Razorkit greeted him. Stormsong looked startled at first, then looked at Razorkit with a warm glint in his eyes. "Greetings, Razorkit." Stormsong replied with a nod. "How is Moon and your sisters?" Razorkit turned around and meowed over his shoulder, "Why don't you see for yourself? We need to keep ourselves from being bored to death anyway."

Razorkit led the way into the nursery, Stormsong behind him. As soon as Stormsong stepped into the nursery he greeted Moon with a friendly lick and a purr. "How is everyone?" he asked as he faced Moon and her kits.</sup>

<sup>"Razorkit! Wait!" Moon said but her son was already out of the nursery. Hopefully someone would catch him before he got in any trouble. She would have gone after him herself, but with Birdkit and Meadowkit still her and able to get into trouble and with no Suneyes around to watch them she had to wait.

Luckily, she didn't have to wait long for soon her son was back with a large, but soaking wet, mouse. He also had brought back Stormsong.

Moon purred and returned the greeting to her mate. "Everyone is doing fine. They are not very happy about being stuck inside here all day, but soon I figure they will be wishing to be back in here." she meowed as she started to picture the three kits before her as apprentices. He mind clouded for a moment as she also thought of the promise she and Stormsong had made. When the three kits were made apprentices they would tell them that they weren't their real parents. That they had found their mother dead and brought them back to camp and adopted them.

Would they still want to be back in the nursery? Would they still look up to her and Stormsong as their parents? But she didn't linger on them long. She turned back to the time at hand. She shouldn't be worried about that. Worry about that when the time comes she told herself.

She turned to Stormsong. "Look at you!" she meowed sternly like he was a kit. "Soaking wet! I won't be surprised if you catch a chill. You should know better than to stay out in the rain, no matter how much you like it."</sup>

<sup>Stormsong laughed good-humorly, "I may be old, but I'm strong enough to take on a few drops of rain." Stormsong reassured, licking his mate's forehead. "Now, am I just going to stand here and listen to you lecture or can I be with my four favorite cats in the world?"

Razorkit couldn't help but sigh at mother's reaction to Stormsong's interrupted hobby. It seemed like she treated everyone like she was their mother. I guess it's what she-cats do... "You're not alone. Mother gives us lecture all the time." His tone didn't sound mean, but truthful. But he couldn't help to have a little amusement sneak in his voice.</sup>
