I walk alone

Silentkit padded out of the nursery, blinking his eyes against the bright sunlight blazing down from the creamy sky. It was early morning, with not much cats around. Just the way he liked it.

Stretching his jaws into a large yawn, he sat in the nursery's entrance, relaxing in the rising sun. He needed to take his mind away from what happened yesterday, and this helped a little. His mind was like a restless storm; destroying his mind with rain and lightning striking down on his brain.

He didn't want to think. He didn't want to move. He didn't want to be in this world any longer. He just wanted a breif moment to go into another world to put his mind to rest. But, he sighed, it would only happen in a perfect world. And this world is the exact opposite of that.</sup>

(Rainy... I have plotness... he wants to go to another world huh?)



(Okay, maybe he could wander out of the clan territory and run into Lioncloud...

Lavenderpaw yawned and woke up from her daily nap she looked around,then walked out the den she looked at the misty sky "It's so peaceful"she meowed.She started walking around camp looking at all the sights she looked at the nursery once or twice she than saw Silentkit. She paused for a moment and looked at Silentkit she stared at him for awhile than started to daydream she shook her head and continued with her walk she than stopped again looking at the nursery she walked over there she looked at Silentkit once again. She finally walked over to him she sat down not that close to him she looked at him and meowed "um.... hey Silentkit."

Silentkit glanced at Lavenderpaw with a suspicious expression. What does she want...? Silentkit thought with annoyance. Sighing he meowed heavily, "Greetings, Lavenderpaw." The apprentice had broke the silence and his brief relaxing state, which was the only chance he had until tomorrow.

Gazing at her fully he meowed grumpily with a scornful look, "What do you want? It's a bit early for you to be out and about. You should be training instead of wasting your time gossiping."</sup>

Lavenderpaw stared at Silentkit for awhile than finally meowed softly "You don't have to be mean I just um..." pausing after the sentence than meowed again "I just thought you where um..... lonely so i wanted to give you some company" she meowed while looking at the ground. She looked at Silentkit again while looking at him she began to daydream twitching her ear's back and forth she finally snapped out of it she meowed" It's so peaceful today isn't it Silentkit"trying not to go off in a daydream again. She looked around than meowed" I was out for a walk anyway" while starting to lay on the ground.

Silentkit sighed again. He wanted to be alone. That was his whole purpose of being out here alone. If he wanted company he would have asked Kestrelkit. Even though she wouldn't be pleased.

But it seemed that was the only friendship he had. Besides Ravenkit, of course. But they probably would have never been friends if they weren't brother and sister.

I hope for once this innocent 'walk' doesn't get out of paw like the other two times. Silentkit thought angrily. He didn't want another regret weighing down on his shoulders. "If you want my company so badly," he snorted, "We'll go for a short walk. All right?"</sup>

Lavenderpaw looked down unhappy she got up and meowed "Ok Silentkit I'll leave you alone" sadly she walked out the nursery looking back at Silentkit once or twice until she was far away from him. She sat in the middle of the camp depressed looking at the sky she meowed quietly " Why dose he have to be so mean" looking at the nursery again.She went back to the den and sat down looking at the others sleep she than went over to where she sleeps and laid down thinking of Silentkit the whole time. She wondered why he was so mean to her and at least say something nice for a chance. While thinking of Silentkit her eyes became heavy so she fell asleep dreaming about Silenkit threw out the whole dream.

Silentkit felt both relief and confusion rush over him. She did what he wished, to leave him alone. But now that she got him out of his relaxed state there was no turning back. What else would he do besides that?

Sure, the she-cat was annoying with her stupid and obvious crush on him, but it was better than nothing. Besides, everyone else was asleep. After those few moments of thinking and sitting, he followed her pawsteps. It seemed the apprentice took what he said the wrong way, and left him depressed.

Meeting up with her, he almost tripped over her resting body, not even thinking she'd crawl right back to sleep. He surely didn't want to disturb her, so he just sat there. His gaze rested on her, watching her peaceful breathing. She seemed happy. Silentkit guessed she was probably dreaming something good for her to be this pleased after what she had just encountered in the awakening world.

But as time flew by and the sun was rising slightly, he got bored. He was trying to feel relaxed again, but failed. So he pawed at the sleeping figure, attempting to wake her up.

"Lavenderpaw. Wake up."</sup>

Lavenderpaw yawned than opened her eye's seeing a figure when she was awake she sat up. She stared at Silentkit than meowed quietly "um....Silentkit why did you wake me." She than started laying down trying to go back to sleep.She started closing her eyes a little bit but couldn't go back to sleep cause Silentkit was still here so she pretend to go back to sleep. She said in her mind if I pretend to sleep maybe he'll leave. It wasn't working so she just laid there with her eyes closed thinking of why Silentkit came over here anyway.

Silentkit opened his jaws to answer her question, but stopped when she decided to make a fruitless attempt of tricking him away. He could tell by the way her peaceful breathing was changed into a more fast, more rigid motion.

Amused by her actions, narrowed his eyes, heaving himself up with a quiet huff. "Your attempts don't work on me." Silentkit grunted with disgust. "Come. We're going for a walk like you requested."

Turning around he started to leave the apprentice den. But before his white-and-gray tabby figure left the shelter he glanced back at her, his green gaze into slits. "Unless you don't want my company."</sup>

Lavenderpaw got up and meowed " You can't take a joke " she than walked over to Silentkit and meowed " come on " flickering her tail she continued walking. Looking at Silentkit once or twice she began to daydream again but stop it by shaking her head she than meowed "Isn't it peaceful out here Silentkit." Than started looking at the sky once more to see the beautiful clouds she stopped looking at the clouds and looked at the beautiful surroundings she than meowed quietly " I sure do love it here." She than stopped and looked at the sky once more than at Silentkit she turned away hoping he didn't see her looking at him she began walking again.She started walking faster cause she liked to feel the wind on her fur.

Silentkit snorted at the comment of him not being able to take jokes. Following the she-cat he caught up to her, matching her pace. At the corner of his eye he caught her looking at him. He forced himself to not snap at her with a bitter order to stop looking at him.

He kept his anger in, trying to keep his pelt from bristling. He wished Lavenderpaw would be more...normal. Everything she did was based on her crush. He would rather see the side of her she exposed when he wasn't around. Which would probably not happen.

Shrugging, he kept a steady walk, but he fastened his paws when Lavenderpaw sped up. Meeting her side again he decided to make some small talk. The crying of the wind was getting on his nerves. Plus he didn't want to just walk and sight-see the whole time like Lavenderpaw was doing when he wasn't staring at him.

"So..." he meowed carelessly, not knowing what to say without sounding mean or annoyed. "What were you dreaming about a moment ago? You seemed pleased."</sup>

Lavenderpaw stopped dead sudden she didn't want to speak everything went quite she just stood there looking at the ground.She than looked at Silentkit but didn't say anything she looked at the ground and started walking again trying to ignored what he said she began walking faster and faster. She started running knowing she was acting like a fool but didn't care she didn't know where she was going cause she had her eyes closed.She ran faster and faster hoping Siltentkit couldn't caught up. She stopped for a minute breathing heavily looking back at Silentkit.

Silentkit stopped suddenly when Lavenderpaw made an unexpected pause. When her blue gaze fell upon him he expected an answer, but instead her gaze shifted to the ground, and she raced away.

Silentkit growled in pure annoyance. What was up with this she-cat? His bigger size took advantage of the race as he pelted after her, catching up to her swiftly in a second. But he suddenly had to skid to a stop when Lavenderpaw paused yet again, making him trip and fall.

Muttering and cursing under his breath, he stumbled upward, shaking his pelt in attempt to drive away the dirt and mangled mess he was in. Spitting out the remains of a few grass blades that made it's way into the entrance of his mouth he spun around, facing Lavenderpaw with a cold glare.

"Why in StarClan's name did you run like that so suddenly? We are suppost to be taking a walk, not racing out into the forest like that." Silentkit growled, nearing Lavenderpaw in wait for a reasonable answer to her foolish actions.</sup>
