Nightflower sighed and looked up at the sky. The black tom wrinkled his nose and then looked at his paws. Was something wrong with him? He found himself attracted to not a single she-cat in the clan. However several toms had caught his eye.

The tom walked back to the center of the camp. His head was down, and his tail drooping.

Hawkstreak dragged his paws tiredly toward the fresh-kill pile, his green eyes half closed in the cloud of sleep. He had been working his butt off the last few days with making sure he took care of Silverwing and her kits, while hunting for the Clan as well. And his worries about being a father kept him awake at night.

So, of course, he was tired out. Not that it was any surprise, seeming that he was tired out easily according to his clanmates' records. But, Hawkstreak never seemed to notice, thinking he had endless energy until he was pushed to the limit. Which, of course, was exactly wrong. No one would be surprised, though, because everyone knew he was just a stupid idiot. Even his mate.

Yawning, he drowsily reached his destination, snapping up two mice. Shaking his self awake he turned swiftly toward the nursery. But an obstacle blocked his path, making him bump into the object without even noticing. Backing away, he was too tired to throw a fit and decided to observe what he hit instead of snapping at it first.

It was Nightflower. He never knew the tom too well, so he never did take too much notice in him. He was just a normal warrior of ShadowClan. Well, why not get to know him better? It'll be an excuse to take a break from Silv for a while... he thought with a shrug. "Yo." he greeted him through the two mice dangling from his jaws.

"Hungry? Got a few mice to share."</sup>

The rather feminine tom spun around when Hawkstreak bumped into him.
"Hi." The black long furred male said.
"Mice, sure." He sighed, and smiled a little. The black tom had found Hawkstreak attractive, at least in the way he looked. However he considered the tom to be a little too abrasive. Flicking his tail he sighed and sat down.
"So..." He mewed. "How's the mate?"

Hawkstreak felt relief flood over him when the tom agreed. Following him, the black tom sat down in what seemed like a comfortable place to share a piece of prey. A bit too comfortable. I might fall asleep.

Sitting in front of him, he dropped the two limp bodies, pawing one over to Nightflower. "Not well." he replied as he took a bite of his prey. "She's pretty more...well...angered than she usually is. You know how Silv is. But secretly," with a smirk he nudged Nightflower winking, "I think she's getting fond of the kits."

Shrugging he sighed, "But our relationship hasn't gotten any 'fonder' as usual. She's always telling me she regrets having kits and hates me for it. I hope when you get lucky you won't have the same problem." Hawkstreak meowed tiredly, taking another bite.

"Anyway," he meowed, changing the subject. "You seem kinda down. What's up with you?"</sup>

"I... I don't think I ever will." He mewed, looking at his paws. He shrugged and continued eating the mouse. Then Hawkstreak asked him if something was wrong.
"I think there is, well at least with me." He said. "I... well... it's hard to explain. I don't like she-cats. Well as friends, but I'm not attracted to them... you know as mates. I think there's something wrong with me. I've tried to like she-cats, but well..." He shrugged. "I don't."

Hawkstreak snickered, then laughed at the warrior's concern about not liking any she-cat in the Clan. "There's a lot of other pretty she's out in other Clans, ya know. It might not be the same but if your that desperate you can break a few rules here and there."

Straitening up from the outburst, he grinned, "I mean, surely you don't expect yourself to go alone all your life, right?" With a glance at the still depressed cat he took another huge bite of flesh, swiping his tongue over his lips.

"Seriously, though. Did you try hard enough with the she-cats here? I mean there's a pretty decent amount of singles here. Did you get to know all the she-cats well? Because when I didn't meet Silv I thought I'd never fond of a she-cat like that. I hated her until I got to know her..."

Stopping himself from having his mouth blabbing on any further, he looked at the black tom for answers.</sup>

"That's... that's not what I meant." He admitted. "I'm... not attracted to any she-cats. None of them even draw me. I mean they're great friends. But I've had feelings towards..." He looked at his paws and whispered the next words. "other toms."

Hawkstreak perked his ears up, half choking on the piece of prey in his mouth. Forcing to swallow the chunk of meat he gasped for air, then exclaimed, "A-are you sure?" Sighing, he knew that question wasn't the best approach. It would just get him more depressed.

He does look like a she-cat...but who knew he also acted like one. Hawkstreak thought with a scornful look. But, he also felt bad for him. It would be likely impossible for him to find true love if he liked toms. What tom would have those feelings for him unless he pretended to be a she-cat himself?

"So...your attracted to toms eh..." he started off awkwardly, not knowing where to start to help him out. Then an idea came to him. "Alright. First of all, do you want to like she-cats? Or do you want to stay into the tom thing?"

If he was going to help him out, it was going to take desperate measures.</sup>

"I'm sure." He mewed. "I've tried /making/ myself like she-cats, it just doesn't work." He paused. "No... This is the way StarClan made me." He sighed. "So... it must be the way I was meant to be. It makes sense, right?" He said. "I mean..." He looked at his paws. "It's silly, isn't it?"

Hawkstreak smirked at his idea. "I got an idea." Hawkstreak announced with a flich of his tail. "Come here."

Getting up Hawkstreak padding up to Nightflower's sitting body. Bending down he whispered in his ear, "Follow my lead." Striding toward the middle of camp, he flicked his ear for the black tom to follow. Then at the right moment when he was near most of the cats in camp he grinned.

Looking back, he raced back toward the warrior, grabbing his scruff and dragging him into the middle of the clearing. Placing him beside him and moving Nightflower's legs so that he was in a posing position, Hawkstreak started to flex his muscles.

"Do what I do and it will attract toms for sure! And maybe a couple of pretty shes' too!" Hawkstreak grinned, making himself look handsome.</sup>

He followed Hawkstreak and tried to imitate him. But strutting and flexing wasn't really his thing. Instead he moved carefully and gracefully. In motion the sleek tom really did look like a she-cat. He blinked his long lashes, fluttering them flirtatiously.

"How's this?" He mewed, winding around Hawkstreak. "Do you really think there is someone for me?" He mewed, his voice soft.

Hawkstreak glanced at Nightflower. "Er...kinda. But I guess your way of flexing would attract toms since it's so...er...she-ish." Hawkstreak meowed awkwardly. Pausing he meowed with more enthusiasm, "Of course there's someone out for ya! There always is!"

Looking around, he noticed his plan wasn't working because of all the weird stares delivered to the two toms. Instead, he thought of a better approach. "How about instead of waiting for the toms to come to you, you come to the toms?"

Gazing around, he snatched up a flower and shoved it into Nightflower's jaws. "Here. Look pretty." Hawkstreak ordered. Then he guided him toward a random tom. Which was Blazingpaw. Whispering in Nightflower's ear he said, "Just look as pretty and she-ish as you can."

For a while he had never played a prank on anyone. And this was the perfect opportunity. Just this one time with just this one cat...it won't hurt anybody...

"Hey, Blazing." Hawkstreak smirked and talking as if an announcer. "I bet you wouldn't be so grumpy all the time if you had a little love in your life for once. What about taking a mate?" He meowed, flicking his ears toward Nightflower beside him.</sup>

Nightflower mewed happily and took the flower. He had never, however, found Blazingpaw attractive. However he went along with Hawkstreak. After all, why knock it until you've tried it... or something like that. He looked as feminine as he could and walked up to the apprentice, batting his eyelashes.
