ooc:Pretend this is before the whole Cougarface & Mothpaw journey. I didn't know that certain thing had to go first xD

Mothpaw seemed to sink into the soft cascade of feathers, and down. Her eyes fluttered shut within a few seconds, her silver tabby chest rose and fell with the soft whispers of the rain as it showered the earth.

Everything was dark, or so it seemed. Blinking her large leaf-green gaze she wondered the darkness. Oh-she wondered for hours on end, her nose picked up nothing but fear and despair. The world seemed to close in on her, drawing her in tighter and tighter. It seemed to squeeze her tight until her lungs couldn't take it anymore.

With a silent plea for help she found everything getting darker-if that were to be possible. The last thing she had heard before her fall was a single drop of rain and then all horrors broke loose.

A single blink brought her back to life, everything else seemed to come back with her. Grass was beneath her paws, while the air was cool. Storm clouds crackled in the distance, the stars were invisible. Although they weren't there she could still sense they're presence, stronger then ever.

"He-hello?" she meowed, her voice quavered as she spoke. Although she was the oldest apprentice of Shadowclan she was never known to be brave, daring--maybe even noble but never brave.

<sup>Silence...

Only silence met Mothpaw's quiet call, a deep roll of thunder the only sign that the mysterious world that the apprentice was in was still alive. As tense moments of stillness passed by, the weather kept getting nearer, as if threatening to take Mothpaw's life away.

The sky grew darker...the wind blew stronger...and rain began to fall from the heavens. First light, then heavy. All hints of the sun ever existing vanished as the storm clouds poisoned the skies, and the wind blew hard enough that it seemed it would be strong enough to sweep Mothpaw off her paws.

In this scene of despair, it seemed there was finally hope when the presence of stars appeared in a shape of a cat, standing tall in front of the silver she-cat. Then the figure took a true shape, fading into a slim, black cat, glittering stars lacing her pelt.

Her dark, starry blue eyes gazed at Mothpaw warmly, hinting she apposed no threat. "I am Nightwhisper." The StarClan she-cat announced, flicking her tail in greeting. "You are Mothpaw, correct?"</sup>

"Y-yes I'm Mothpaw." she breathed silently, her green gaze scanned the horizon, she could see nothing for the rain was shadowing her eye's path. She could see the rain as it pounded across the ground, she could hear it as well. But she couldn't feel it. She felt cold, so-very-cold but she couldn't feel the rain.

"Wh-what do yo-you want fr-from m-me?" she meowed her voice trembled and shook, her fur was pressed down into her skin, but alas she couldn't feel the rain that was doing this to her. She couldn't feel anything but this chilling cold.

The world seemed crash down upon her, the thunder crackled against her ear drums, while the lightning flickered on above. The rain sounded so much harder now, and all at once she could feel it. It stung her pelt as if thorns were being lodged deep into her flesh. With a blood-chilling screech she searched her pain enhanced confines, looking for any escape. But there was none

Clenching her teeth she glared into the she-cat's eyes, her voice seemed to choke within her throat. She couldn't talk, she couldn't move, she was frozen. She was forced to listen.

<sup>The ancient black cat smiled down at the frightened apprentice, nodding in reply. The weather seemed to calm down, as if soothed by Nightwhisper's warm gaze upon the world. The rain had begun to slow down, the wind turned back into a soft breeze, and the sun just slightly broke through the dark clouds overhead.

"Your time has come for your destiny to arise." Nightwhisper meowed softly, his gaze turning more serious.

"Darkness will cover this land and beyond,
Neverending storms will erupt and darken the skys above,
You and your kin will follow the darkening path,
To save what you know from a terrible past
That will lead your home into the bloody jaws of death,
And the murder of the deadly outcasts."

As she spoke those words, her tone became cold and raspy. The weather changed from calm to threatening again as the clouds masked the sun's light, the wind blew hard and the rain started to fall down like hail.

Nightwhisper melted away in the darkness that was starting to darken the scenery, and replacing the StarClan cat was a sightless blue-green glare that shinned in the blackness. Soon other deadly stares joined in, but one that shown the most was an icy blue one.

Claws lashed out at Mothpaw, but before it had a chance to reach the she-cat the whole scene was replaced by blood. Blood all around her, even the scent filled the air with the sour smell of death...</sup>

<sup>"No! Come back!" she wailed, as the blood swirled around her. It lapped at her pelt, the scent itself would make your blood-curl. Choking back a whimper she let the blood take control, it flowed around her--curving left and right.

Where it came from she had no clue but it kept coming and it didn't stop. With wide eyes she felt her life flash before her eyes, she remembered the softness of her mother's fur. The snorts and laughter of her siblings, Stonekit's body as it was brought back to camp. She remembered Nightstalker cool chilling gaze as he reported the death of her brother.

She remembered Hawkeye's and his cold exterior from when they went on the journey together. She remembered fighting him along side the border, she remembered the flood waters as they lapped at her paws. This all happened within a matter of seconds and then everything was black. And everything she held dear was no more.
