Age: 25 MOONS
Gender: MALE
Rank: LEADER
Clan: SHADOWCLAN
Short Description: large long-haired gray tom with blue eyes.Appearance:
Stormstar is a massive being, a monster in size because of his Maine Coon and Norwegian Forest Cat roots. Although these two breeds are quite far back in his lineage and have been muddled by the melting pot of breeds and hybrids, they still come through strongly in his family and are the two most obvious in his appearance. Size, strength, speed, and stealth have always been easy for Stormstar because despite his large body, he has a darker shade of pelt that makes it easier to melt into the shadows of trees and such. Seeing as he is rather sure-footed as well, he rarely ever makes a sound while he walks, him often compared to a shadow itself for how quietly he can sneak up on even sharp-eared cats. Many have called him "ShadowClan personified" for this.
Stormstar's fluffy, well-kempt pelt is a brooding gray. This color makes everyone assume that it is his name-sake; those assumptions are only partially right. Other than that though, his darkening-sky-blue eyes also give off the air of a cat named "Storm". Also, despite his extremely young age -- especially for a leader-- this tom has several scars along his shoulders, belly, and flanks. these marrings do not take away from his beauty though; many find his scars alluring.
Blue eyes are odd to see in gray cats, but Stormstar has them all the same. Some say that he got it from his great grandfather, Stonestreak while others say he's simply born to be a storm through and through. Anyway, there is hardly ever a time when a cat he first meets doesn't comment on his strange eyes, but he has long gotten used to it and takes it as a compliment. Stormstar knows he is gorgeous and takes pride in the fact that StarClan blessed him in such a way.Personality:
Stormstar is almost amusingly cocky. Because he was raised in possibly one of the most encouraging and doting families that ever walked the Earth, there has never been a shortage of support for him and that has built him into a very arrogant cat. Challenge Storm and he will brazenly boast that he will stomp you to pathetic bits, and he tends to carry out what he declares. All throughout this competition or whatever he is challenged to, one will find that Stormstar goes to great lengths to come at you with all he's got. Not only does he want to look cool, but he's got a thing for winning and doesn't really take to losing well.
While Stormstar can be rather intimidating and maybe a bit nauseating, he is a pretty relaxed tom. When he isn't boasting his good traits and going to great lengths to flaunt them, this warrior is as fun to hang out with as anyone else his age. Once the more down-to earth part of Stormstar is shown, it's evident he is a great guy, he's just a bit too narcissistic. Just like any warrior so young, Storm likes to flirt with she-cats (and the occasional tom for a poke at fun) and play pranks on his Clanmates. Taking things seriously is hard for him when he isn't in the middle of leaderly duties; he's still learning how to change attitudes when necessary. All in all, Stormstar is a lover of the concept of fun and a good laugh. He's definitely not afraid to make a fool of himself and even laughs along when he does so.
Opinion is something Stormstar values very highly. Once something comes into his mind, he speaks it and is fully prepared for the consequences if he's too blunt. He feels like it's more respectful to tell the blatant truth rather than lie to someone's face. Besides, Stormstar-- like many cats his age-- has a hard time filtering his words and finds no harm in stating what needs to be said. While he is immature, he will apologize to the other party if he feels he went too far. Stormstar knows that it's his duty as leader of ShadowClan to keep diplomacy not only between his Clan and the others, but his Clanmates as well. With his clear opinions and well-backed statements, Storm feels he can do this fairly easily. Everyone knows his confidence isn't fake and he'd do anything for his Clan's sake.
Yes, Stormstar is young, inexperienced, cocky, and somewhat naive, but he isn't stupid. That brain of his fuels very grown-up words and thoughts when necessary and allows him to make up for his age with smarts. From growing up in a social environment, Stormstar has learned to observe others and know what gets to them. While carefully planning is something that most cats feel necessary, Stormstar does better under pressure. Many like to call him a "wing-man" because he thrives on "winging it" in many situations. With his father and mentor's careful teachings, he has become quite skilled at make-shift strategy.History:
Stormkit was born to a large litter of kittens, all of them toms. There were four kittens in Hawkpool and Silversky's litter. It was a stormy day, so all of them were given weather names. First born was a fluffy white and gray cat named Cloudkit, next was a bluish gray tom with white socks named Rainkit, and after came a small tom with gray-brown tabby that was called Thunderkit. The last child born was called Stormkit, him being the biggest and loudest.
Growing up, the kittens knew they had half-siblings but preferred to stay in their own cluster. Cloudkit was the peace-maker who always broke up fights between Thunderkit and Rainkit, the most aggressive of them and Stormkit always seemed to know how to defuse the tense air afterward. Their parents doted heavily on them and it was Stormkit that soaked up most of it, swiftly becoming arrogant.
Drifting into apprenticeship peacefully, Cloudpaw, Rainpaw, Thunderpaw, and Stormpaw all got wonderful mentors that taught them many things. Stormpaw was lucky enough to get the leader herself, Fernstar. The leader favored him and began to shape the tom into something great. Although she tried er hardest to rid him of his arrogance, he clung to it like a burr to long fur. In the end, she decided to make it into a good thing and turned his arrogance into stubborn opinion as well.
Stormpaw was eventually named a warrior along with his siblings. Now named Cloudstone, Rainbelly, Thunderfang, and Stormburst, the four rejoiced! Their parents were so proud and now they were finally their own cats. Rainbelly had mellowed out and became closer to Thunderfang like the rest of his brothers had and they all started to focus more on their duties and possibly having mates soon.
All dreams of a mate vanished when Stormburst was named deputy shortly after the last deputy, Lizardtongue died. It was a mere few moons later that Fernstar also died and Stormburst was named Stormstar. Lately, Stormstar has been as close as usual with his siblings- especially Rainbelly- and has even begun to get to know Poppyfrost. He isn't yet aware of Alderfur's wariness of him, but he soon will.
